Excellent tick removal tool.
I used this tool this evening for the first time to remove two ticks from my dog and it worked extremely well. The shape of the tool really makes it easy to get a good grip on the ticks and they twist off easily. Both ticks I found tonight were attached to my dog and by twisting gently I was able to remove the entire tick in both cases. The only negative is there is no easy way to attach the tools to a key ring. Hopefully the manufacturers will add a loop or something in the future. I live in Massachusetts where ticks are a huge problem and this will be my go to tick remover.

Awesome!
I had those for my dogs forever and it’s the easiest way to get the tick out of the skin in total, one piece. No struggle at all.Needed a new pair cause didn’t need them since I had no dog anymore, but that changed.

In a perfect world the ends would be more tapered to make ...
Much smaller than I expected but pulled a couple live ticks off the dog without him trying to run away from the pulling pain of tweezers. In a perfect world the ends would be more tapered to make the process of getting beneath the tick easier through the fur.

Best tick remover
Best tick remover. Gave my old one to a friend because they loved it so much. Highly recommend this for anyone who spends time in climates with ticks.

I was disappointed but am grateful that I haven't had to use ...
I spent $10 for a item that's only about 2 inches long! The photo was deceiving. I was disappointed but am grateful that I haven't had to use it yet!

£40 at the vets or this?
It was £40 at the vets or this. Got home from holiday to find the cat had a huge tick on her face. It was the first time so after an internet search the blue cross for whom I have good regard, suggested removing the tick with a special tool, I ordered it and the moment it arrived less than 24 hours later, I removed the tick in a matter of moments one little twist and it was gone. It said to kill it in alcohol but all I had was gin so hopefully it died happy. The place where it was looked quite angry but even today it looks a lot better. I was worried about doing it myself but shouldn't have been. Excellent little tool.

Essential pet product at this time of year.
I already own a set of these O'Tom Tick Twister which I bought years ago in a blister pack. After recently finding a tick on my dog whilst out and with the tick removers being at home, I had to rush back to remove the tick from him (the quicker you remove a tick, the less chance of the tick spreading one of the many diseases they carry).Afterwards I decided I would order another couple of sets to leave in our cars so we always have one near by.They are super easy to use, simply slide the twister forked end underneath the tick and gently twist around and lift. The tick should come out with the mouth part intact. The quality of the packaging for these twisters seems a little lacking compared to the previous one's I had bought but for the price and what they are meant to do, it's a great product and an absolute essential for dog owners at this time of year.

Stop researching and buy these.
Found a Tick on the cat yesterday. Read lots of horror stories about not removing them properly and that you need to get them out as quickly as possible to reduce the risk of Tick borne infections so decided to leave it where it was and turn to Amazon for a quick turn around.Ordered these at 9pm following their good reviews and that they were advertised as next day delivery. They arrived by 11am the next day and literally 5 minutes later the Tick had been safely removed.Very easy to use (if you can get the cat to sit still that is) by simply using the right sized tool for the size of the Tick. This one had about 8mm visible so user the bigger of the two provided tools. Slipped the tool across the cats skin so the Tick slid into the groove on the tool and lifted very slightly so I could feel a tiny bit of pressure. I began to rotate the tool through 360 degrees (which is easy with the grip on the handle) and after 2 turns the Tick popped right out mouth parts and all.I’d released a little grip on the cat at this stage so he decided to say thanks by sinking both his claws and fangs in my arm before making a run for the back door but hay, I know he’s grateful really.Don’t hesitate or waste any more time doing hours of research. These things are a brilliant bit of kit so much so I’ve just bought another set to go in my walking kit. Small, light as a feather and takes up no room at all but most importantly, they work.

Great little tool!
I was a bit worried about using this tool as the last time my cat got a tic I took him to the vet. After adopting a second cat where we’ve moved I felt the kindest way to treat a tick was to do it myself as the cat is very timid, I didn’t want to put it under the stress of being in a pet carrier going to the vet. These tools arrived very quickly & I was very easily able to remove the tick. Our other cat has since picked up a tick so this little tool has come in handy!

Take fine nosed tweezers instead
Bought these for a camping holiday and first morning found a tick on my daughter's neck, got the tool out and followed the instructions but the tick just kept slipping out of the V meaning its body was getting squeezed - not what you want during tick removal.Tried 5 times with no avail, would pull it up but failed every time to pull it out of the skin.Resorted to some fine nosed curved tweezers I had for back up, closed the tweezers over the ticks mouth parts and pulled up - removed the tick first time! Extremely disappointed with these tools since it has an important medical use.

Not up for the job!
It's not particularly good; it's rather large and clunky. I had been looking around to replace one which I had bought from a vets many years ago, which was a simple stainless steel round-ended-trowel shape with a groove cut out of the centre, so you simply pressed it against your dog's skin and slid it up and surrounded the tick. It was marvellous. There is no comparison, this is far too clumsy. I carry it with me because right now I don't have anything else.

Excellent
Recently got loads of these all around the house, in my car and purse. Ticks are prevalent in the Scottish Highlands and I wouldn’t be without one after having been caught out a while ago with a tick on the dog on a Sunday whilst out travelling and nowhere open that sold one. Never again. These wee things are brilliant for tick removal - far easier than tweezers.

A total must have for dog owners
Only buying another because I’ve managed to lose the last ones! These are a total must have if you own a dog; or cat! These whip the nasty little ticks out with no problems . They are so easy to use and just so cheap too

Too small
The Handle is a bit too short so I found it difficult to grip while twisting it to remove the tick off my cat. There are 2 different sized tick removers in the pack. The smaller does not have a chance to used at all because ticks can normally be noticed when it is big enough to see or feel. I even found the bigger one is a bit too small. After a few trials, I finally managed to remove the tick. Won’t be able to return it because I have used them. Will by a steel one next time or probably a tweezer will do the job better than this.

The handles are a little short (slightly)
I bought these to remove ticks from a hedgehog and they worked well. I found the handles a little short but I'm sure they did mention the sizes on the advert. It never mattered anyhow, the handles have a grip and they are easy to use. Not cheap for what they are but worth it to help an animal.

Works brilliantly
When I got a tick myself last year, I had to go to hospital so I decided very quickly that we needed a solution at home, especially with a new puppy in the house! These were recommended to me on a FB cavapoo club and are wonderful! I used them within a few weeks when I found my puppy's first tick and I was able to pull it off her quickly and safely!

I love these little gadgets
I love these little gadgets. I had a nasty tick this year and could not find Tick Twister. A&E took two days to get it out because time had elapsed. I have a scar but no Lyme disease. Anyway, have used these on dogs and friends and they are great.

Work Brilliantly
Best things since sliced bread. These little things make it so easy to remove ticks from your dogs, I wish I had them many years ago. I would imagine they would also be useful if you every were unlucky enough to get a tick. I would highly recommend getting these, just in case.

Makes tick removal really easy and fuss free
I alway have these in my pocket when out walking the dog as we have a lot of ticks around here. They are quick and very easy to us. It doesn't hurt or bother our dog at all. I think they are slightly expensive for a tiny piece of plastic, but they do do a good job.

Extremely small and useless except for the tiniest of ticks
These tick removers are tiny, suitable only for tiny ticks. Up here in Scotland sheep and deer ticks can be large...these would not go anywhere near them. In fact your dog would have to be bald in order for you to be able to see ticks small enough to remove with these tools.
