Classic 5" Chef's Prep Knife

This knife is like a Ferrari. It makes my other ridiculously expensive knives seem like a truck by comparison. I was able to cut a slice of carrot so thin I can LITERALLY read through it!!! Not even joking! I read some reviews that said it was "dull" and I can't believe they are talking about this knife. It's amazingly sharp! It's a smaller size and perfect for cutting vegetables - which I do a lot since I'm vegan. If I were to take a 3 month trip to a place that had no knives and I had to bring just one knife with me, it would absolutely be this knife. I'd buy more of the same brand since I'm so impressed, but I might not need another knife - ever. If I could give this 10 stars, I would!!! This review is for the Global Knife GS-89 which is a 13 cm Cooks knife.

I needed a smaller knife than my current inventory and got this Global. It’s easy to use and cuts like a razor. I find myself reaching for it for everything that doesn’t require a large knife. Very pleased and it was a very good purchase.

It doesn't matter which Global knife you buy, you won't be disappointed! They look nice they are the perfect weight for me and the sharpness of the blade is amazing . Global knives are the best I have ever bought, and at a good price.

These knives are sharp to say the least . Have a great feel when dicing, cutting , etc. They are worth the little extra.

I have very small hands and this knife is perfect. I can maneuver it with confidence that I will not cut myself. And it is so sharp. Followed Anthony Bourdain's advice and love it!!

This knife is the perfect fit for my hand and is becoming my new favorite in the kitchen. I use this one everyday! My other fav is a 6" chef's from Wustoff. The handle feels like it should for ease of cutting and comfort. Seems to maintain its sharpness too. Will buy another Global in a different size next time I need a new knife.

Great Knife very sharp!!!

At £40 these knives are a bargain. I like a good knife and I do a lot of cooking. I keep some knives for my own use and others for general family use (because they get a bit abused, end up in the sink and only need to be sharp...not really sharp). My favourite knife I possess is a Richardson Midori knife and it really is a thing of beauty and sharpens perfectly. I had seen Global knives in Costco and even Aldi for sale and was curious on owning one. This knife was a great and not to expensive way of scratching that curiosity itch. OK so what do I think ...well firstly...just buy this if you are even vaguely tempted. You will not get a better knife for the money. Personally I would not have this as my main knife, I prefer something slightly bigger (like my Midori). The knife is much lighter than I expected and handles really well. Not much else to say!
