Called Pitboss to make sure this would also work for the 1150 Pro. Was assured it would --It doesn't if you want to use the front shelf Too long. should hve returned it but am putting up with it until I find one after market that will fit.

I have the Pit Boss Austin XL. This fits like a glove.It was a little expensive, but there aren't a lot of other solutions. Like others I entertained the idea of getting a fiberglass fire retardant blanket like from Harbor Freight. One downside is these blanket can be super itchy if you inadvertently brush against it. I also worried about fibers falling into the food on the grill.In contrast, this official insulated blanket is coated, it's very think, and it holds to the lid with very strong magnets. In short this is night and day difference in quality and its ready made for your Pit Boss.Now I understand the aim is to reduce the pellet burn and stabilize the temperature. Because I'm always changing up what is being cooked, how long I cook/smoke, and environmentals are always a bit different from day to day, comparing burn rate between two different days is like apples and oranges. In short any "savings" is hard to quantify. It seems to me as though the smoker warms up faster with the blanket and the temperature remains more consistent with the blanket.In short and based on my observations, I would say the blanket is a great addition, especially in cooler temperatures.

The basics:Install: just drape it over and let the magnets click into place. Wrap the straps around the legs if you feel professional.Durability: it's thick and solid. It has a weight to it. Should be good for years if you use a cover.Function: Holy Mother of Sweet Baby Jesus! This thing dropped my pellet consumption in February by at least 25%. My smoker was struggling and swinging temps wildly. And this is in North Carolina winter. This blanket keeps temps rock solid.One down/up side effect, it raises the temperature above what you set on the dial. At the sensor it runs 10-15 degrees hotter and at the top sensor dial it's running about 20-25 hotter. Why is this a bonus for me? I like smoking some meats at 275 degrees. Which for some damn reason Pit Boss skipped on the dial. Well, 250 is now my new 275. I call that a WIN!

It goes on easily, the magnets are very high strength and really do hold it on. That is most likely the bulk of the cost in making this item. The insulation and cover appear to be very good quality. I have not had it yet through a cold season, but despite the 100+ summer temps I have used it in, it seems to maintain a pretty consistent temp in the pellet stove. I am still not sure why it says to only use it during cold weather, wouldn't you want a consistent smoke temp all the time regardless of the weather?

Bought this in advance of a Christmas Eve smoke one the forecast showed it was going to be subzero temps with below zero windchill and high winds. 6 degrees, 30mph winds, -10 windchill, this insulated blanket allowed temp to hold steady at 250 for 4 hours. Looking forward to using it the rest of the winter, and the reflective shell may also help in the summer when the sun beats on the black steel. Great product

This will fit the Pit Boss Pro 800 series with a little modification for the handle.

In the winter (really all year long) most of my cooking is done long and low temp. In the winter, this can really eat up pellets, but this helps stabilize the temp as well as reducing drastically pellet use. Great buy!!

This product fit perfectly as it was made by the same product it was going on. Very easy to install and will help with the heat dictation so you will save on pellets when smoking in cold weather. Definitely recommend

This blanket fits nice, is nice and thick, and to my surprise, it has built in magnets which hold it firmly in place. Can't go wrong with buying this, and it definitely helped with temperature fluctuations in very cold weather.

As it was getting cooler I noticed that I was having big temperature swings.This cover has seemed to have fixed this in the colder climate.I imagine my pellet will use will reflect this in the winter.I have the Pit Boss 820d - it fits perfectly and it attaches by very strong magnets.If you plan on using your grill lots in the cold this will be a nice benefit.

Cover fits my 850 Navigator after adding a smoke stack and blocking off rear vent holes. This cover does have a velcro opening where the vent holes are, making me wonder if it was compatible as is. If you had a way to ensure it would stay open it might be no problem.
