KitchenAid KE161OHOBA Classic Strainer, 7-inch

This has held up well and is still going strong. I have used it for a variety of scenarios and it is just an all around fantastic strainer. If and when this one breaks, I'll buy this again without a second thought. Spend a little more and get a quality product from a reliable company that will last. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy and I can always get a firm grip on this strainer. My go to for rinsing 1 or 2 cups of rice. Coffee filters have a good fit for additional filtering too. I trust the KitchenAid brand.

Easy to use, would buy again

The size is perfect, fits well on different sized bowls or pots. It strains berry seeds well, for seedless syrups and jams. Made well.

I am pretty loyal when it comes to the quality of kitchen items, but will branch out on occasion (try the carbon steel, triple clad pans from Meerten and Storck!) I live on a limited income and I don't have time to go through a zillion options. KitchenAid, Joseph Joseph and XOXO are brands that I can count on.

I collect Kitchenaid items in the Empire red color. This is a great addition to my collection, and I can't say enough great things about it. The weave of the stainless steel mesh (won't rust!) is very fine so you can strain very tiny items and they won't fall through. You can also use it as a sifter of sorts, to sift flour or sprinkle powdered sugar on cakes/cookies. It's also a great size...you can scoop things from a large pot or bowl with it, or just use it for draining pasta, vegetables, etc. The hook around the edge helps it stay put when you place it on top of a bowl or pot. I would definitely recommend this item to others.

I bought this a couple months ago and now wonder why I waited so long! It is perfect for rinsing off grains such as farro and rice. It is well designed and good quality. Love it!

This is a very good strainer. It has very tiny holes in the mesh, so you can strain anything in it. I love that it's larger than the tiny ones I've owned in the past. It's large enough to strain a fairly large amount of pasta (like a package of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese). It's very sturdy and goes through the dishwasher beautifully.

I use this daily to clean out the 2 pool skimmer baskets. Works fantastic for my needs to get my pool job done.

Ok so a colander is a colander, but.... a Kitchenaid colander is super quality, super colour and handy for straining all sorts.

Muy buen tamaño y superdurable

De muy buena calidad el material de la malla y mango, resistentes y seguramente durará mucho tiempo. El color, tal y como se muestra en la imagen; quienes tenemos la cocina en rojo, queda perfecto. Hay que considerar la medida, pues yo esperaba que fuera de menor tamaño aunque en la descripción se indica su dimensión.

Dishwasher safe, mesh is tiny enough so I can rinse my rice before cooking it, no other comment except 'I love it'.
