Very tiny but works well - I seasoned it first by heating it up a bit and I’ve used it to melt down scrap silver It didn’t crack - all good but it it tiny so check sizes so you wont be disappointed

I am getting between 1 and 3 heat cycles at 1100'c for 60 minutes through them, and then they crack or crumble and the gold seeps through. I have to keep using them is they are available via prime, and can't find better quality elsewhere at present, but wouldn't be able to use if they fail at the same rate for silver as they would be costing me more than the metal.

No problem with the crucible itself but beware. At the time of writing this the measurements provided in the product pictures are not correct for the 250g version. This is basic stuff, get a tape measure out seller!

Perfect for small smelting , getting enough heat in to the crucial can be difficult,I recommend heating in a bed of fine dry sand When using butain and smelting gold and don’t forget to glaze the cruipal with borax
