Makes good coffee
The vacuum flask works great. And this can be activated on a smart plug. I've had hotplate machines in the past and this is way better for keeping the coffee flavour exactly as brewed. The actual coffee is surprisingly good too. You can see the drip in progress by lifting the flap. It doesn't saturate the coffee too quickly and there is a good bloom in there. Also the water temperature is hot from the start (some others start with lukewarm water). I've used a plastic pour over and a Clever Dripper and the flavour of the brew compares well with both of those. The vacuum pot itself is pleasingly chunky with a push button release to pour - very well made. As others have said it might be a little tricky to clean because you can't get your hand through the neck. The water reservoir and main body of the machine is - unfortunately - a bit plasticky and looks like you might have be careful with it. Particularly the swing-out coffee filter holder part which mounts on a couple of plastic studs so you can pop it out to clean it. I can see those studs or the mount on the main machine snapping off in time. You can set the coffee brewing without inserting the jug underneath and the water will be held in the filter. If you are only making one cup you can use this to brew the coffee to a fuller flavour by letting it sit. However, don't make the mistake I made and put too much water in the reservoir without the jug in place - it will overflow out of the top of the filter. There is no cut-off to sense when the filter is full.

Melitta Filter Coffee Machine with Insulated Jug
Easy to use, makes a whole pot or single cup. The jug keeps the coffee hot for over five hours. Just add required amount of water to tank, put a filter paper in the filter holder, add the required amount of coffee grounds and start. It takes about 10 minutes to brew a full jug of coffee. The machine will turn off automatically after about 15 minutes. If you set up the machine ready for brewing and plug it into a smart plug, you can set it to start at any time you want or tell Alexa/Google to do it for you. Great price. Real value for money.

Basic design, good coffee, quiet, easy to use.
I chose this Melitta one because it's quiet and doesn't beep when it's done. Too many household items beep for attention. It does not require an app. It's a basic, simple coffee maker with no frills and very few moving parts. There's just one button - start making coffee, that's it. I was initially hesitant when it arrived, because it looked so thin and flimsy. However I realize now it's got a utilitarian design and is focused on just its task of making coffee, it doesn't need to look good. Additional things I like are that the coffee filter doesn't fall over when the coffee is being made. The machine switches off itself after 40 minutes of keeping the jar warm. And of course the coffee tastes great, don't go off reviews by YT snobs complaining about it.

Great machine at a great price
Firstly, I paid £20 for this machine to replace a broken French press. Thought it would be easier as it could brew larger volumes. It’s really easy to use - add the water, pop in a filter and add the coffee. Switch it on and away it goes. I weigh the coffee according to the amount of water and I find 30g for 6 cups is fine for my taste. People moaning that there isn’t an option for brew strength need to remember that it’s a £20 machine. No issues with leaking - it’s got a mechanism where the jug presses on the button to release the coffee. It drips down into the jug fine and has several holes to help this process. Never had an issues with leaks and I’ve used the machine about 40 times so far. Keeps the coffee hot and on the odd occasion where I haven’t finished the pot, I just pour another cup and microwave it for 45 seconds. Jug is glass - easy to clean. Very happy with it.

Simple, light, easy to use and makes great coffee.
If like me, you enjoy filter coffee every morning, then you'll appreciate this simple, easy to use filter coffee maker with insulated jug. This coffee maker has a quality build, that's also lightweight, smart and stylish. The problem with filter coffee is keeping it hot, without overheating the coffee, or wasting energy, by having a hotplate switched on. A filter coffee maker like this, that brews straight into an insulated jug, solves all these problems and more. This model also has no hotplate, so no overheated coffee, and no wasted energy either. The jug holds a full litre of coffee, there's plenty for two or more people. Lastly, this machine makes great tasting coffee, and the jug keeps it hot for hours. The machine turns itself off 15 minutes after it's finished brewing, although I usually click it off myself once the coffee is made.

Very simple device, make perfectly good morning coffee.
Used this for a couple of years and it works really well. Coffee is never mild and extracts well, you'd have to be quite a coffee fanatic to really have an issue with the coffee made in my opinion. The timer feature is very minimalist, just let's you set the time and a time for the coffee to be made in the morning etc. Easy to refill and coffee papers are quite cheap and probably get slightly nicer coffee than reusable filters.

The first thing you need to know about this coffee maker is that there is no heating element for the coffee jug. It's basically a thermos jug, the hot coffee goes in there, the coffeemaker switches off automatically after 20 minutes, and that's it. As it turns out, this suits me perfectly, though I don't know if I would have purchased it knowing this beforehand. The actual coffeemaking works surprisingly well, though I'm not sure why that is. I used my old Braun maker only when I was making more than the usual cup and a half I drink in the morning, but I use this Melitta all the time now. I think its improvement is down to better control over the temperature of the water, and also the use of a paper filter, which gives the coffee more "brew-time". It is very sensitive to the fineness of the grind, however, and I use an extra-find grind. Anyway, for a cheaper coffeemaker, albeit with a fairly small capacity, this is great.
