My two yo is currently obsessed with the solar system so I bought her the "Explorer Set" to help her learn about the planets. These are the best placemats I've found for kids anywhere! First of all, I appreciate their accuracy. Love it that these were designed by teachers! Many kid's products - toys, clothes, accessories, even books - feature inaccurate depictions of the solar system. I'll never understand why. I mean, if you're trying to furnish your children with educational materials of any sort then why bother if said info isn't accurate, right? These are accurate AND cute! These are colorful enough to hold even my young toddler's attention and they are truly non-slip. They also clean up very easily - I've already wiped not only food and sticky drinks off of them but crayon marks came off with a swipe of a baby wipe! Yay! Though we bought this set for the planet themed placemat, my daughter is loving the US map one too. She gets a big kick out of finding where we live now as well as the states where her mommy and daddy come from. I can't think of anything at all if so to improve upon these. In fact, I plan on buying additional sets of these as they'll make absolutely terrific "emergency gifts" to have on hand for kid birthdays and such that pop up. These are fun, gender-neutral, and suitable for a wide age range. Parents will appreciate that these do a great job protecting furniture and they're educational too! Wish these had been around back when I was a kid. :)

I bought these for my two-year-old granddaughter because I use them in an educational manner. You can see how I do that in my video. I like these particular ones because they are durable and I can clean them before she eats. They are very easy to clean using a wipe or a cloth. The back of them is fantastic because it does not move around on the table (unlike most educational placemats). They are also good for using with modeling clay or crafts. These would be a great gift for anyone with a child or special needs adult!

These placemats are so awesome!! I initially bought them for the US map to show my daughter different states, as we have friends and family living throughout the US. She was asking a lot questions about where certain people live and I wanted a nice visual for her to reference. I wanted something smaller & not too big. I love how the the state map shows icons that are relevant to each state, i.e. Georgia has a peach, and so on. These are so great at mealtime! First off, they're educational, great design with colors and easy to read, and my four year old daughter is thoroughly enjoying these! She already knows all of the planets from practicing at mealtime. Mealtimes for parents can be annoying and frustrating, but these help to make it more fun. Second, they are a great quality--easy to wipe clean and have a rubber backing so they stay put on that table (nice feature!) I highly recommend these!!

There were several spelling errors in some older reviews, and they’ve since been fixed (mine arrived Sept. 2022). Every country is labeled on the world map which makes the font size SMALLLLLL - like nearly illegible, and my eyes are decent - for some of the countries. Overall a good set. The plastic is thin and flexible, but sturdy and easy to clean. There’s a film to peel off on the back of each placemat. All are interesting and useful to our almost 4-year old.

These were purchased more for an educational measure rather than a functional one. They are very easy to clean up and super sturdy (think flimsy, but not destructible.) The educational content on them is great - body systems, solar system, states & capitals, and a map of the world/countries. These are a great and fun learning tool.. it's even taught me a thing or two. :)

These placemats are perfect for us. They are well made and I can’t imagine them fading or flaking off. They stay out on the table and really are interesting and educational. I have not tried them in the dishwasher, but imagine they would hold up fine. I just wipe them down with my Noreen cloths after use. I highly recommend them. Also, no typos like some reviews on the past. The spelling has been corrected.

These are great! My two year-olds love them and can already point out the USA on the world map and our state on the United States map. Today, my daughter used the human anatomy placemat, and was delighted to point out "bones!" They are picking information up off these mats some much more quickly than I could have anticipated, and that is exactly why I purchased them. The other important thing to know about these mats is that they are large, great quality, and easy to clean. We've only had them a week so I can't speak to durability, but I can definitely attest to their ability to handle most messes and wipe down easily. The one issue is that a placemat is just one more thing for my kids to pick up and use as a vehicle for throwing the food around the room... but that's a problem with my kids, not the product.

My kids LOVE using these at mealtime and it really helps keep them in their seats for family dinner. Great design, well-made, durable and attractive. A must buy! For the maps: We play guessing games, 'find that country'/state, determine the best travel routes, etc. Anatomy: I name a part of the body and ask the kids which system it belongs to ange how it functions. Space: Imagination and trivia. We discuss the future possibilities and talk about how our planet has changed over time.
