Product description This Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been manufactured according to organic standards which prohibit the use of genetically modified ingredients and promote environment friendly, sustainable methods of farming. #ONE is strong as a latin lover embrace. Some experts look for the “three coughs” when they taste an Extra Virgin Olive Oil; #one is likely to win their favour with its pungent* finish. It is an awarded Extra Virgin Olive Oil made of single estate olives, 100% Italian, from Umbria. In this area, the temperature leap between day and night in late summer and early autumn stimulates the olives to produce a lot of polyphenols to protect themselves. The care the producer put in farming, harvesting, crushing and bottling, does the rest. The result is an extremely low level of acidity (0,12 at the time of tests) and a very high level of polyphenols (442mg/l), qualities that translate into one word: excellence. Several studies show that a daily intake of 20 gr protects you from cardiovascular disease. This strong Extra Virgin Olive Oil is amazing with cooked veggies, spicy soups and sauces, beans and cereals but also with roasted meat due to its strong personality. When you feel adventurous it is unforgettable on grilled bread. Ingredients Olive Oil

I don't think I've tasted a better olive oil than this!
I am an oliveoilaholic - if there is such a thing. I am always on the lookout for a new olive oil that will excite me, enchant and enlighten my senses, just like some people hunt for a good red wine. It is a quest I relish.I heard about Olivocracy by catching one of their ads on social media, and seeing how confident they seemed about their oils, I thought let me be the judge of that. They currently appear to offer four different types of extra virgin olive oil, all of them organic which makes the whole experience even more worthwhile in my opinion. I ordered all four types, settling for the 250 ml canisters.I must confess, I had also been attracted by the look of their beautiful black cans. I am a little shallow like that. Nevertheless, I delved into their site and read about the way they sourced the olives and how the oil was of the highest quality as a result of the manufacturing process, and I was sold. The four cans (#one #two #three #four) were delivered within time, and what a treat it was to take receipt of them. The canisters looked even more stylish and pretty in real, I very much hoped they would deliver in taste. Now here's the bit about the oil itself.Numbered from one to four, they are categorised in two levels of intensity,Strong: #one #two, and Mild: #three and #four.I immediately filled our dipping dishes with all four oils, got the crusty bread out of the cupboard and called my husband over.We instantly fell in love with the delicious, silky oils that treated our palette to a variety of different flavours. There were some strong herby flavours, almost grassy with #two, some bitter undertones, varying in strength depending on the number, a fragrant fresh nuttiness (#four), a little sweetness (#three) and a rich complex bouquet of aromas with #one#four: apparently the stronger of the milder ones tasted a little nutty with a sweet undertone and had a mild bitter quality to it. I can imagine this one to be suitable for salads, creamy sauces or to add a little punch to your dishes. Of course, it goes very well with your favourite bread.#One was used in our pasta dish to which I added vegetables, fresh tomatoes, a good scattering of chopped chilies and topped it off with parmesan. I used the oil in the tomato sauce, but drizzled the pasta dish with some oil before serving and it made it stand out so much, my simple ‘after work’ dish wowed husband and kids like never before!I have to say, I instantly became an Olivocracy fan as their oils truly deliver in taste, and what’s better, the cans look absolutely sensational on your kitchen work top.My favourite so far is #one, though #two is a very close contender, then again, I seem to like all of them. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great tasting, responsibly sourced, organic extra virgin olive oil which is pretty affordable too, considering how much you get for the price in return.

Finally, a good quality olive oil
Having grown up in the Mediterranean, where olive oil is a way of life, I find the range of oils available in supermarkets in the UK to be seriously lacking. Good quality olive oil is the main component of my cooking - anything mediocre and the whole meal is let down (or so I like to think)! I was told about Oliveocracy by an Italian friend, so I decided to try the range. #ONE is one of the stronger tasting oils in the family, and i have to say it is superb. The best test for me is how an oil tastes drizzled on bread, with just a sprinkling of sea salt and some dried oregano. It was delicious. I will definitely be buying it again. Plus the tin looks seriously good in my kitchen!
