I used these at new store and the tare weight on the packages were super helpful. The guy didn't believe what I had on the preprinted tag (we have scales where you can enter the produce number and kick out a barcode for checkout). I showed him the tare wt on the label and sure enough the net produce weight matched. I also love that they are easy to stow in my reusabe bags and that I am using less plastic.

I love these reusable bags for produce at the grocery store.Machine washable.Now, if grocers (cashiers) could figure out how to tare the scales to compensation for the weight of the bag, we’d be good. Otherwise, the item has to be taken out to properly weigh it.We’ll get there.Would purchase this item again.

We got these to use at our local farmer’s market and they were perfect! There was an appropriately sized bag for every item big and small. The material held up with the weight of different produce well.

I have been super happy with these. Easy to throw in with my reusable shopping bags to go to the store, easy to wash and dry when needed. Their sturdy cotton mesh has survived many grocery trips and washings since I started using them. I did immediately remove all the metal hardware so it wouldn't clack around in the dryer, and the string alone cinches the bags just fine. Just leave the bags un-cinched when shopping so the grocery clerk can easily count/scan/weigh the produce.I find that certain items store better, longer in these than they did when I used the plastic bags provided by the store: broccoli, herbs, carrots... The cotton keeps just enough moisture on the veggies/greens to help keep them fresh in the fridge without promoting mold growth.

Before purchasing these, I kept my veggies in the store plastic bags. After switching to these, I have realized the plastic bags were the reason my veggies were going bad so quickly! Now my veggies last so much longer whether in the fridge or sitting out. If I could only remember to bring them to store with me every time.Update: around a year later, I've purchased a second set of these. Not because of any wear or defect in the original set, but simply because they are that good! I seeded more because I continue to use them but I'm now buying more veggies because they don't go bad nearly as fast!
