Really cute set! Details and intricacy of this set make it perfect for realistic play. Same great quality we've come to love and expect from Lego. Bought this for my 8 year old son's birthday and he loves it! The age stated is 6-12, but he's just turned 8 today and it's a little above him. This is Mainly due to the fact that the pieces are tiny to small and the time and skill level required to complete it. There are 2 double sided step by step building guides required to build the mystery machine and the tree. This takes a lot of time and patience and most likely an adult to help. I would put the minimum age at 9 to 10 years old myself. Comes with Fred, Shaggy, Scooby, a Zombie. Magnifying glass actually works, flashlight, Jewel, tree and of course The Mystery Machine, which is the centerpiece of the set. My wife and I bought this for my 4 year-old. He did nothing to put it together, it was a little challenging for him, but my 7 year old didn't have any problems. It is a fun set with great features. The Mystery Machine opens to reveal a little crime lab, and the tree monster is pretty fun too. My biggest complaint is that it was too hard for my youngest son, but I did plan on helping him put it together. He loves Freddy, Shaggy, and Scooby, as well as the van. It is fun to assemble, and a great toy to play with.

My son is crazy about Scooby Doo and this was top on his list for Christmas. This was fairly easy to build and the Mystery Machine has a lot of cute little details. The whole thing opens up and you can see inside. Our only complaint is that the roof doesn't really stay on. It's also easy to lose the little pieces such as the magnifying glass so it would be great for older kids but might be very easy for little kids to lose those. All in all its a great Lego product though! Especially if you like Scooby Doo.

Like Zoinks! this is a far out set that hits all the high points. The gang can keep on truckin in the faithfully depicted mystery machine that has a lot of playability. Let'sl split up!, the Mystery Machine has a removable roof, an opening cargo area and some radio equipment so they can drop the hammer and chat with the girls if they have their ears on. The Fred and Shaggy mini figs are groovy but Scooby is kind of a stiff, Rut Roh! It also has some kind of funky tree-robot thing and a masked Zombie.

Born in the late 60's, I grew up with Scooby Doo. I have a 15 year old son who loved Lego when he was younger but had stopped working with them as he has gotten older....too cool for Lego I guess. I bought this Scooby Doo van for myself and was going to buuild it and display it on my desk. My son came up to me and asked if he could build it. He did and enjoyed it a lot, even telling me he had forgotten how fun Lego's were. It is an awesome piece, went together well and was not complicated. Thanks Lego

The first photo shows what the original box should look like. The second photo is what I received today. It looks fake. This is a Christmas gift for my son and I will be very pissed when it turns out it's fake

The Lego set was sold out almost everywhere and thanks to Amazon I was able to find It! This will be a perfect gift for my godson who loves legos and scooby doo! Now I can put the two together to make a great gift! Although pricing was a little higher than other places, it was worth it to receive in time for christmas.
