Perfect gift. Good quality wallet and well packaged in a stylish box

Lovely presentation, great quality leather and well made

The wallet appears to be well made, looks splendid and comes in a nice presentation box. It looks like a perfect gift. However, this wallet is not suitable for everyone. It is very thick considering how few cards it can hold. It is almost 50% thicker than my aging wallet and it does not sit well in my trouser pocket. The zipped money pocket doesn't help matters. I will give this a little more usage to see whether it squishes down over time, otherwise I'll probably be going back to my old, well worn, wallet. And this is without using the coins pocket.If you're buying this as a gift, which looks very tempting, check what kind of wallet the receiver already has; they may not appreciate this in their pocket if they prefer a slim design that holds more cards. I would image this a little like trying to buy a woman a fancy handbag without knowing her functional and design preferences.The red/black does look very nice when I get it out though, so I'm really hoping this does get thinner with more abuse in my trousers.

I spent ages searching on Amazon for wallet as a present for my husband. I am not saying he is fussy (ok I am!) but there are certain boxes that have to be ticked. It needs to be leather, be well made, have a decent amount of card slots, have a coin compartment, have a closure and not too bulky - and they say women are difficult! Anyhow all boxes were ticked with this one and one thing that made it stand out to be is that it looked like it was made by a company that really cared and details like the presentation box were that little extra which made it a bit more special.When the order arrived I was dismayed to see that the box had two flaws in it, which was a bit of an inauspicious start. The box is a bit flimsy, but that in itself was not the issue, it was the flaws within it. Anyhow, once the box was opened the wallet was neatly packed with paper and a little card which was nice. The wallet was made from a lovely, soft leather and all of the boxes were firmly ticked. There was good attention to detail and it looks like it is built to last.I contacted the company who made the wallet regarding the box and their customer service was excellent. Whilst the box should not have passed quality control, mistakes do happen and the company were very apologetic and sent a replacement box. They kept me informed every step of the way and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. This gives me a really positive impression of the company and I would not hesitate to use them again. I have yet to give this wallet to my husband, as it’s for Christmas, but I think when he opens it, Mr Fussy may be Mr Happy!
