CURT 13079 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2-Inch Receiver, Fits Select Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, RVR

I installed this hitch on a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Every hole lined up perfectly and had it completed in less than 1 hour by myself! Pulled a 5X8 trailer with all of our camping equipment and coolers and drive to Martinsville VA from Knoxville TN. It was absolutely great!! No more jamming stuff in the car itself.

Purchased this for my 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Fits perfectly and was easy for us to install. It took around 30 mins. But I would make sure to have 2 people when installing. It is decently heavy. We have used it to tow a hitch bike rack and it fits perfectly. We want to get the wiring set up next so we can pull a trailer. Mine got a little scuffed in shipping but didn't seem like any severe damage was taken. I also ordered this during the COVID-19 pandemic so I understand that shipping my have gotten a little beaten up. Other than that small detail with shipping, very satisfied with my purchase.

Not too difficult to install. Came in very quicky and had all the required hardware. hardest time was getting to the bolts on the driver's side with the canister make it really tight to get hands on the hardware.

This receiver fit perfectly once I was able to get it installed. The instructions are clear and the photos help as well. I was able to install it by myself, however an air rachet was indispensable because there is little room to tighten the nuts using a regular rachet. Not to mention the nuts are in a location that isn't the easiest to get to. Also have some WD-40 or something to clean out the threads that are fitted vertically and make sure to tighten them up first before the horizontal bolts to help with the alignment. The hitch seems to be fairly sturdy, however the powder coat isn't the best. Before I even pulled it out of the box two spots of the powder coat peeled off in my hands revealing bare metal which is why I'm only giving it four stars. But being how is going under the vehicle and isn't affecting the structural integrity, it wasn't worth sending back and waiting a week. I'll probably just end up just spray paint it later so it won't rust.

This is a serious challenge to install by yourself, but it can be done. The hitch assembly is heavy and hard to lift into position. It took me an hour to install, but it is secure. 6 bolts makes it very strong.

Installed on a 2023 Outlander Sport. Seems very well made and sturdy. Took about an hour to install by myself. I admit I used a floor jack to persuade it into place as it fits very close to the muffler hangers. Overall, it was a fairly easy install, but would have been easier with a helper.

I got this for an Outlander Sport to fix a bike rack onto it. It took a while to figure out exactly how to affix this to the car, but with the help of a friend, we managed to do it in about 40 minutes. Most of the time was spent trying to figure out how to get both ends of it aligned with the bolt holes (had to tilt it at an angle, get it in, then turn it to align it). It also was a bit difficult to access some of the bolts and tightening them through very small spaces. Had to use a few different types of wrenches before we found the one that could fit through the small openings under the car and could tighten the bolts properly at the same time. The openings to access the bolts are tight and I dropped a bolt that got stuck in another part, which took a bit of time to fish out. If we install this again, it won't take more than 10-15 minutes. Having a helper is highly recommended while installing this. I haven't towed anything with this hitch. It's exclusively used for a hitch bike rack. I use the Allen 542 four-bike hitch and it fits it perfectly. It's been on the car for more than a year and fits 2" bike racks perfectly.No sign of rust so far in the rainy Pacific Northwest. Hoping it holds up well for a few more years.

Still to install, but seems to fit perfectly. Very well made and sturdy. Instructions are clear. I would buy again.

Quality is good! Took about an hour and soemthing to install. Would need a second person to help.

Great receiver. Fits my 2015 rvr with the 2.4l. Make sure to clean out nuts on car frame, if really rusty like mine you will have to run a threading tap (m10 x 1.25) to get all the bolts in. Little bit of funky maneuvering to get the drivers side carriage bolts in but you’ll get it! Looks good on the car.
