Bible Overview

I have an excellent Study Bible, The MacArthur Study Bible, and many Bible Commentaries and other biblical reference books and software; nonetheless, before I start reading/studying any book of the Bible, I first read Bible Overview. And when I’m done with reading the specific Bible boon, I re-read the Bible Overview to reinforced what I have studied.Bible Overview provides in a concise manner the background, the purpose, the theme, key verses, and shows how Jesus is presented in each book. I think of Bible Overview has getting the big picture before opening my Study Bible to get into the details. Bible Overview is an excellent road map to travel through the books of the Bible.I highly recommend Bible Overview for new and not so new student of the Bible.

I have a smaller version of the same idea but this goes further. It contains pictures and other things. It is very interesting. Sometimes I keep it on the coffee table while I watch TV. When thr commercials come on I pick it up and start reading.

This is an attractive book with many pictures, maps, timelines, tables, etc. I use it often for a good brief summary of Bible books. For example, in terms of brevity, it does Matthew in four pages of large print, and omits the teaching of eternal Hell in chapter 25, absolutely the most important part of the Bible for believers. This is a quick overview of the Bible that is very similar to Stephen M. Miller's "Complete Guide to the Bible." (2008) The pictures and the format are very similar, except Miller's book was earlier and more jammed packed and not as "preachy" as this book!

I love the book because it has everything at my fingertips about all 66 books of the bible. Pictures are included as needed. The seller was great-answering questions I had before I purchased. I don't do photos of products

I'm pretty impress with this book, pictures gave me idea what was like in history, purpose of the ritual biblical times. Gods plans for us. How and reason why its set up. Pretty educational, simple explanation. I would recommend these for Sunday school or home bible studies. Will continue to collect other books associated with rose publishers.

I liked this book as it is well set out and gives a good introduction to each book of the Bible. It gives a Headline, purpose, outline background, themes, timeline, Key verses, Jesus in the book etc., to each book. It is very good to read before a study of a particular book of the Bible. As the Title suggests, it is an overview, so it does not go into great depth, never the less, I would encourage particularly young Christians to get a copy but suitable for Christians of all ages.
