I’m a reformed nail biter and have been using this for about 2 months. I love what it does to my nails. I actually hate going without it because my nails feel naked. Even just one thin coat helps with strength, but as I reapply thru out the week it gets better. I like the gloss finish it adds to my nails.When I’m not wearing it my nails feel thin, so while the product works, I’m not sure it’s making any significant changes to my naked nail. It’s so easy to apply though, literally dries in seconds, so I don’t mind if this is a permanent step in my nail care.My one complaint is that the last roughly 1/3 of the bottle gets thick and hard to work with so there’s some product waste. It’s definitely best when it’s fresh, thin, and easy to apply and quick to dry.

nailtiques 2 nail protein to correct soft, peeling, bitten weak or thin nails, is an absolute astonishing product. at 67, i had pretty much given up on every achieving polishable nails again. they were trashed, and nothing seemed to help. i tried 7 other products, including opi's re-released nail envy strengthener original. nope. then i discovered this, and followed the instructions exactly. in 3 weeks, my nails were back. in another week or two i'm going for the polish and using this as the base coat. i asked a couple of my friends who had nail trouble to try it. same results. the stuff is amazing...

This is the best nail strengthener. the one and only one that actually makes your real nails as strong as salon ones. I put 2 coats on and then my nail polish and my nails feel like acrylics. It's worth the price!

I'm seriously impressed with this! I will most definitely buy it again.OK, here's my soapbox: My nails are (were) soft, layered, peeling,and just totally obnoxious. I've tried lots of nail hardeners and was unhappy with all of them. Mostly they would be a temporary band-aid and the "hardened" effect would disappear when the particular nail polish I happened to be wearing disappeared off my nails. I work in a retail store environment, and between hands in the till making change, whipping out a latte, or cleaning whatever, I was forever trying to keep my nails decent looking. One of my weaknesses happens to be nail polish.!I was just browsing around the internet researching nail hardeners and happened across a nail "forum" review. There were lots of reviews and discussions about just about everything out there, then I read one where someone mentioned that Nailtiques Formula 2 Nail Protein was really awesome. They also said that one of the Butter London products was especially good. I then checked them out on Amazon and the reviews were mostly raves, so I decided to try Nailtiques, and maybe Butter London later if Nailtiques disappointed me. This is up there as one of the best purchases I've made.After the first application on dry bare nails my nails immediately felt hard. For a week my nails were commando, only with this Nailtiques daily on them. After the week was up I wore polish again and put the protein on them daily, then the next week every couple of days. It's been about a month now and my bare nails are really stronger, all by themselves. Unbelievable. For years and years my nails were the pits and were getting worse. My fed-upped-ness was right up there. This stuff was worth the money, every cent of it.UPDATE 12/4/14: It's been a little while since I've applied the nail protein (probably about 2 weeks) over my polish and my nails are still strong. (I do apply a coat as a base before I apply polish). I'm still enthused about it, and I'm thinking it's helping my polish stay on longer too. Between this and Essie Good to Go top coat I'm ecstatic.

Goes on easily. My nails are stronger after using this base coat just a few weeks.

Great product if used correctly nails will be stronger and grow faster

a few years ago i had to stop getting weekly manicures because it just got too expensive (I still get pedicures) but i wanted clean, strong, long nails and NAILTIQUE 2 gives me that! my nails used to peel and be soft and would never grow long - now they grow so long and strong i sometimes have to cut them! if i want a fancier look than just the shiny clear polish - i just put on some sparkles on top - it looks great, dressy, and it does not show the peeling like colored polish. I will never go back!
