How high up would this work? Could you use it in combination with a saddle setup?

I love this seat. but the first time i used it the holder/release button fell apart. can i get another one? thinking of buying a couple more.

Could I use this as a stand instead of a seat,like 20 ft off the ground. and just stay tied off?
