Edelbrock 2102 Performer-Plus Camshaft and Lifter Kit

Had flat cam problems in a stock (un-rebuilt) '70 C10. Lifters were also shot. After install, engine starts and runs better than ever before. Great kit to bring an old worn 350 back to life! Pulls strong from a little over idle, comes to life when the secondaries open up. Not a race cam by any means but huge improvement over stock.

This was my first time installing a cam. It was quite a challenge for what came along with the process, but once all was done, it is worth what I paid for. It is a great product, giving your engine a more aggressive sound, and a little more kick. It’s a mild change, and NOT for you if you’re looking for a lope.

Had it installed in a newly rebuild engine all new parts. The cam was broken in per detailed instructions and sounded good. After the exhaust was finished I started it and it sounded horrible. Needless to say the cam is actually bad. I found out Edelbrock had a bunch of cams produced that were poor quality, I must have got one.

can't beat Edelbrock for quality and works very well with their other products. I bought the intake and carb to match. my little chevy is strong in the low/mid range! be very careful with break in! after first oil change one of the lifters got really noisy. I haven't had a chance to take it all apart again to look into it but I suspect the cam is eating itself. I used break in oil and high zddp oil after break in so..... I'm leaving the 5 star rating until I can see whats going on. I'll change if part was actually defective.

Adds just enough torque and hp for daily driver.

Replaced the stock cam with rounded off lobes in my '78 Camaro's 350 engine. Everything went well but the mandated 2500 RPM for 30 minute break-in was a bit scary on a freshly rebuilt motor. Car seems to run much better now.

Everything is as described and so far it is working well

Super happy with this camshaft. I paired it with a high zinc Amsoil break-in oil during the break in process. I ended up losing a connecting rod bearing due to ghosts (shavings) from the stock 305 cam that fail from the previous owner of the block worked its way in between the crank and connecting rod and clogged an oil galley. Miraculously, the camshaft survived the ordeal and will live on in a new 350! Eddy cam + Amsoil Break-in = ultimate combo.

What more need be said. Top quality at a good price. Engine is running strong with great throttle response. Paired it with the recommended intake and some roller rockers.

Fits and sounds good. The break in lube they supplied is far too little so you’ll have to pick up a bottle of assembly lube. The engine wants to suck more air at 2000rpm and get better acceleration. Not much changed to the exhaust sound as we have a catalytic and street muffler on. Overall, good purchase for the price.
