Missing a chapter
The book I received goes from chapter 3 to the middle of chapter 19, proceeds to chapter 20, and then chapter 5. Chapter 4 is completely missing.

This is the most convoluted textbook I have ever read
You could pick any paragraph at random from this book and use it in a technical writing course as an example of overwrought nigh-unreadable prose. There are entire pages that could have been reduced to 2-3 sentences with a bit of editing. I have honestly never experienced a more excruciating text than this one. If you're buying this, you probably have no choice in the matter. Be braced for the worst.

Ordered new book- came used
I ordered what I thought would be a new copy of this textbook. However the cover was beaten up and there was a giant sticker on it.
