Flaskars Straw Lid for Hydro Flask Standard Mouth Bottle Hydroflask Sport Water Bottle

Bought this straw lid for my 21oz hydroflask because hydroflask doesn't make a straw lid for the narrow mouth bottles and it's a bit of a pain to unscrew the top every time you want a drink (I'm not a chugger, more of a sipper). I've used it for about 2 weeks and so far it works perfectly. I will update this review if I have any issues.No leaks even when the bottle is inverted or laid down on its side. My nose is average size and only hits the handle part if I tilt the bottle up while drinking which isn't a good idea or necessary but sometimes I do it out of habit. You do have to cut the straw to size which is easily accomplished with heavy scissors; same as what you have to do with the OEM hydroflask straw lids only this one doesn't come with a size template.I made sure I really jammed the straw onto the little nipple on the under side of the lid by gently heating the plastic straw first and making sure it was fully inserted onto the nipple and I think this helps it to not draw in any extra air like I read about in other reviews. Once again, I will update if this changes.Edit: six months later and it’s still working perfectly!

I got this for my daughters 24oz hydro flask and it fits perfectly. The straw is plastic covered in rubber, after 5 days of use my 2 years old ate off all the rubber. This product isn’t kid friendly but would work fine or adults.

I have to turn the bottle sideways or upside down to Comfortably drunk from the straw because the handle always hits my nose and it’s just annoying.Other than that it’s a fine lid and straw but it isn’t for me. If you have an above average sized nose, look elsewhere.

First of all, the product works for its intended use. I'm able to drink water from my hydro flask via a retractable spout/straw now. The only other nice thing I have to say is that the rubber mouthpiece is actually a nice feature.Besides that, I'm infuriated by how annoying this has made my hydroflask!NOISE:The air intake valve for the lid is incredibly tiny and is extremely loud every time I use the spout. It's like listening to a small animal cry out to its mother every time I suck on the straw.RESISTANCE:Because the air intake valve is so tiny, it creates a TON of resistance when trying to suck water out of the hydro flask. Meaning, you're basically fighting the lid to get any water! Additionally, the mouthpiece bore is tiny as well. So the output of water is diminished.PRESSURE BUILD-UP MAKING A MESS EVERYWHERE:The air-intake valve is only one way. This may seem like a logical decision, but it's a HORRIBLE design flaw! If you put cold liquid in your flask, the air will contract. But as that water comes up to temperature, the air expands causing positive pressure to build up in the flask. Normally the air-intake valve would normalize the pressure if you pull up the straw. But because this valve is only one-way, it only lets air in, not out! This means there is only one location air/water can escape equalizing the pressure: the straw/mouthpiece. Because of this, every time I go for a drink, WATER GETS SQUIRTED EVERYWHERE! It's a dang mess!There are lids for Hydro-flasks all over amazon. I hate to admit it, but the lid by Hydro-Flask is not the best lid for your Hydro-Flask.

I don't usually do straw lids for reusable cups or bottles but the design of the hydro flask original lid was too much unscrewing to take a drink. This lid is a little bit thinner-feeling plastic but I've never detected a leak or any issue with the straw functionality. The carrying handle is a little in the way, so you have to get used to opening and sipping in the particular way they intended, but I guess that's normal. For the price and everything this is a good product.

This review is for the Flaskars Straw Lid for Hydro Flask Standard Mouth Sport Water Bottle. We purchased two of these because no one at our house liked the sport spout that Hydro Flask offered. Both are used by students M-F, on their standard hydro flask 21oz bottles, where they primarily live inside backpacks and are dinged, dropped, slung around and in general not coddled. Six months later, no leaks, no issues with the straw or fittings, and the included brush is perfect for cleaning both the valve and the straws. The only item that was low quality was the carabiner (cheap plastic type), but neither of my kids use them so it's really no loss. I would purchase this again without hesitation.

I bought this set to go along with a hydro flask bought as a gift. I was mistaken i thought I was buying metal straws. At first I was disappointed but after examining the pieces I think they will work just fine. Next time I need to do a little bit more digging before I buy something. I wil say for the price I think it was a good deal, and one I would buy again.

Makes the flask great, but the dang straws constantly fall of the lid so I am always reattaching!! 🤬 very irritating
