I would love to meet Sarah McBride
McBride brings transgender identities to her reader in a way that is both eye opening and reassuring. She makes it clear that transgenderism isn't a "choice" but rather a drive to be their authentic selves, to balance the outward appearance with the inner soul. This book is moving and heart warming while also demonstrating the day to day struggles of transgender people.Transgender rights are human rights. Body automony should always be protected and finally Love is Love is Love, with whomever you find it. It is precious

Excellent
This is one of the best books I have read on the subject. Personal, compelling, explaining the political arena without "talking down," vulnerable revelations, and optimism for the future-- it's all here. Recommended for anyone who desires a deeper understanding of transgender identity and the issues faced.

Stunning
Beautifully written, insightful, emotionally-charged masterpiece. I wept through most of this book. Tears of sadness, happiness and many other emotions I’m not sure I can even define. As an aspiring ally, I feel this book has helped me grow significantly and I am in awe of and indebted to Sarah for having the courage and energy to create such an important book.

"What is the best thing about being transgender?"
Enough has been said already by the numerous and very capable reviewers about the courage, tenacity, resilience, drive and determination of Ms. McBride in the face of the withering obstacles she has already faced during the first three decades of her life. Dealing with grief and loss while keeping alive and deeply supporting the drive for equality, fairness and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community will always be her legacy. What struck me as being so different and so special about this author was evidenced by her interaction with a gender variant young person who had posed the question to her, "What is the best thing for you about being transgender?" That got me thinking deeply about my own life. There it was. Being transgender is not a negative way to be after all! It’s about being able to be who you are and having that be okay! That is the major takeaway of this book and out of that we can all move mountains.

An important piece on my path to a deeper understanding of the transgender community
I have always considered myself to be a strong ally of the LGBQT community. After all I have a lesbian daughter and a gay grandson. Both of whom are loved, appreciated, respected, and embraced by our whole (large) family. In the 60s my mother became a mail order minister so she could “marry” my dear friend from college and her partner. I had grown up with and continue to be very close friends with a lesbian and her wife of 25 years; but I had a dark secret: I’ve still struggled to reach understanding, compassion and acceptance of the transgender community- I’ve just never been able to “wrap my head around” the entire concept. I heard about Sarah McBride’s book on a podcast called Nancy, and heard her interviewed and although a memoir from a twenty something year old seemed a bit premature, it seemed like something I should read. So, I did. It was so moving, so thoughtful, and so filled with authenticity, that by the end, and through my tears, I realized that this young woman had provided a picture of what it is to be transgender that changed my world view. I highly recommend this book- it will change you too. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled in this case and I’m glad I did. I hope that others will read this book with an open heart and mind.

Our Future is brighter because Sarah is in it
I could write 1000 pages on Sarah's book, but I will keep it brief in hopes others will jump at the chance to learn and grow from Sarah's journey. Her story is just so intriguing and powerful. I'll never be able to say enough good things about Sarah and her book. She really draws the reader into her story, her childhood to present, with her heartwarming response to life. She does nothing short of making it feel like she is your best friend and she is sitting with you telling you stories that she wants people to know. One of the most powerful parts would be the ending, when Sarah gets hopeful about the future. Something a lot of us have a hard time doing these days, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. She also rips your heart out with the stories of Andy, but yet they are so warm and loving you can't help but smile and cry at the same time. Sarah's story is just so powerful and magical. She exudes so emotion to an already heartfelt journey. I am glad she could share this story with us all. It not only helped me understand her story, but mine as well. Thank you, Sarah. You have helped so many, and continue to do so. I hope this will give many others the strength the I feel from it.

Kudos to Sara McBride for Writing Tomorrow Will Be Different
I met Sarah McBride last year when she spoke on a panel that I held. An advocate for equality she has broken down barriers and made history. Her book, ‘Tomorrow Will Be Different’ is authentic, caring and moving. Sarah drew a picture of what it is to be transgender. I am not transgender but deal with them often as I am the founder and CEO STOMP Out Bullying the country’s leading national nonprofit dedicated to changing the culture for all students. It works to reduce and prevent bullying, cyberbullying, and other digital abuse, educates against homophobia, LGBTQ discrimination, racism and hatred, and deters violence in schools, online and in communities, and promotes civility, inclusion and equality. After reading ‘Tomorrow Will Be Different’ I got a better understanding of what the Transgender community goes through and am more knowledgeable in advocating even more for equality and LGBTQ rights. The book is filled with empathy and completely inspirational. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is transgender or transitioning, or anyone who wants to advocate for equality.Ross EllisFounder and CEOSTOMP Out Bullying

Tomorrow will be better
I think I'd like Sarah McBride, because she's enormously likeable in this book and in her public appearances as national press secretary of the Human Rights Campaign. A courageous and passionate defender of trans rights since she came out at college, she was the first trans person to speak at a US national party conference and has become a very valuable voice of sanity and decency in an often poisonous climate. This is a memoir, not a polemic, but of course the personal is political: McBride's personal experiences, and those of her husband Andrew Cray, have informed her advocacy and fuelled her determination to fight for a world where all people are treated with dignity and respect. The book is often really heartbreaking: McBride lost Cray to cancer four days after their wedding day. Yet McBride remains positive and enthusiastic that tomorrow can and will be better.

Beautifully written, moving, and inspiring
This is a book about love and acceptance and courage. The courage to be yourself. The love of two people for each other. The love and acceptance of friends and family and community. There were moments when reading this book that I cried. There were moments when I realised that coming out as a Trans woman is probably one of the best things I've done. The other is loving my partner. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Incredible
It's only in the past couple of years that I've started to develop a proper awareness and understanding of trans issues, and I want to do everything I can to be a good ally. This book humanises and explains what it means to be trans brilliantly. At the end of the day, we're all human. And reading this book has also reminded me of the power I have to make meaningful changes in the world. I'm grateful for that, and I intend to use it.

Human, informative, heart warming memoir
Reading Sarah's memoir helps restore my faith in human beings and feel part of something bigger. Her story is a welcome change to the constant recent news of isolationism and hatred, filling the reader's heart with warmth, hope and love for our fellow human beings.
