Hawk Kickback LVL Hang-On Deer Hunting Tree Stand, Deer Stand with Kick Back Footrest, XL Comfort Seat and Oversized Platform

So many people complaining about difficult assembly. One guy said he pulled a muscle in his back trying to install one of the seat supports. Maybe take up board games as a hobby instead. I just assembled two of these in about an hour. Instructions were clear (though mine were missing a few plastic washers - just buy a few). Very comfortable seat and the stand is solid. No, it’s not aluminum as one dude complained. If you want aluminum buy the Kickback “Helium” model for $60 more. One note: buy a couple of good ratchet straps to secure to the tree. The one strap provided can’t be tightened securely enough for my liking. Very solid stand for less than half the price of a Millennium.

CAME RUSTED and WRONG DIRECTIONS. The box was in fine condition when I got it. Opened it up and started assembling. Assembly is very difficult to do when you have the wrong instructions. I noticed large amounts of rust on the seat supports and platform. (I saw many other reviews saying the stand is advertised as aluminum it’s steel very very low quality steel) I continued assembling thanks to a YouTube video. Made it all the way to mounting the seat. Pulled a muscle in my back trying to put on a seat support. After beating the dog piss out of it with a hammer and breaking a “weld” I was successfully able to get that on. After spending a little over an hour trying to put it together I had a finished product. And when I say flimsy I’m talkin sapling in a hurricane. Here’s what I got out of it : -175 bucks, a back problem and a pile of rusted, bent up, broken metal in my garage. 0/10

Comfortable and sturdy. A bit pricey and kind of heavy so I wouldn’t recommend for public land.

The stand itself is wonderful. Nice BIG, comfy and adjustable; appreciate the built in back support. The ladder is a pain though. The legs move way too easily to the point its is almost dangerous. Slightest tap will close them in mid step which is no good climbing in the dark with gear. They also hurt your hands, but gloves help with that. Stand itself I would give 5 stars.

Absolutely love my Hawk climbing stand!! Very comfortable and easy to hang. This particular stand is pretty heavy compared to newer versions but still doable yourself. Easy to build too! Very well built and sturdy!!

Item says it comes with the climbing sticks. It did not come with them….This is a rip off without the climbing sticks for $269. You can buy just the stand for $140. Exit: the sticks showed up a few days later in a separate box. I love the setup. Only glitch is the seat…. I can’t get mine to stay folded up.

Love this stand. I have a couple of them. Very comfortable. I am 6ft, 175 and feel very solid in the stand. I bought the cruz bracket for the second one and that made hanging it much easier. I will likely buy more as needed. Two little areas I could see to improve it. 1) add arm rests. I know this is personal preference so not a big deal. 2) figure out a way for the seat to go up and down and stay up without having to adjust the strap around the tree. Once again, this a minor issue. Great stand and highly recommend for hunters who hang and leave the stand all season.
