I've Tried 'Em All- pStyle's A Winner!
I have a bladder disease: Interstitial Cystitis, therefore I need to urinate a lot, (ie on dog walks in my neighborhood, at the beach, during car rides, you name it). Squatting in public is just not an option anymore. Here are my needs: Discretion is key, comfort, usability and performance are also top priorities. I ordered "Go Girl", "Shewee", "Wiz Freedom" & “pStyle”. I tried them all right out of the box, without a “shower trial”. Initially I used my own home bathroom, standing over the toilet with my pants only as far down as discretion would allow. I also tried them with jeans, bicycle shorts and yoga pants. Here are my results:A) Shewee- When I used this product I had urine on my clothing. I tried using it 3 times with the same results. It’s very bulky and therefore not discrete, The clear tube must be used because the green funnel isn’t long enough to exit the urine safely away from the body. It is made of hard plastic, so it will not collapse during use but still needs 2 hands because it’s so long and narrow you need to hold both ends. It comes with it’s own caring case, which is a plus. The part of the funnel you hold next to your body is extremely narrow, the funnel itself is so narrow if one was to release a large volume, quickly, I think it would overflow. You also need to wipe afterward because if you try to wipe yourself with it, it’s just to narrow, plus now you have 2 plastic pieces that are also wet (besides yourself and your clothing). This devise is generally hard to use, indiscrete (dark green…really?) and bulky both to carry and use. I would give the Shewee a rating of 1 star. I expected more from REI.B) Wiz Freedom- Out of the package, first try worked fine. It’s flexible and therefore needs both hands to keep it in place and prevent crimping. This devise was not very discrete, anyone seeing you from the side would wonder about this long bright pinkish-purple thing sticking out from between your legs. It doesn’t come with a carrying case and I couldn’t figure out how on earth I would carry this discreetly in my purse or use it in an emergency. It also stays wet and there’s the issue of self-clean-up, since you are wet after use. At least it doesn’t wet your clothing so, I would give this 2 stars.C) Go Girl- no leaking on first try, more difficult with elastic clothing due to the flexibility of the product, good discretion, you do need to use both hands to hold it tight to your body and keep it from crimping. I liked that it folded in half- and I could fit it into a small iPhone case on my waist when not in use! I didn’t like that there was still moisture in the devise and on my body when I finished, and therefore needed to wipe myself and figure out what to do with the paper. I would give this product 3 stars.D) pStyle- Worked great out of the package. Just the right length, the color option of semi-clear lavender makes it discrete as well. Because this devise is made of semi-flexible smooth plastic with rounded edges you can effectively use it to wipe yourself, when you are done. By gently pressing up and away from yourself, you are virtually dry- the last few drops go out the end. If you shake it, the pSytle is virtually dry. as well If you want to really get it clean, just use a little water from your water bottle to shoot down the spout. If you buy the caring case you can pop the pStyle away quickly and easily, then carry on without any fuss. The case just looks like an eyeglasses case with a Velcro closure and is totally washable. The case comes in a blue-jean material and can be hung on a belt loop, on the outside of a bag, purse or backpack with it’s mini carabiner. Because it is semi-ridged it requires only 1 hand in the middle to hold it in place— it won’t collapse. It also will not overfill or back-up because it is not a funnel, it’s more of a half-pipe. This is the only one I use now. I would give the pStyle 5 stars, with a BIG thank you to the people who designed and distributed this product.

Tips to overcome the fear and embarrassment of trying the pStyle
Ha haaaa!! You've got to get one! Afraid to try? I am in an outdoor profession and was afraid to try for 20 years...What was I thinking!?! Get over the stigma and embareass...ment. Stand proud. I really think most women will grab this thing and make it work the first time. Its very user friendly. Here are some tips... #1. JUST TRY IT...#2. When no one is around, practice in the shower, then practice with underwear and a sanitary pad on a few times (to catch any misfires) over the toilet, then try it in the back yard after dark with a sanitary pad and flip flops on, then go forth into the light without any pad! If you feel too moist after use, wear a panty liner. When you first start using pStyle with a group of friends, go hide until you find your method. Once you've got your method down, then don't be afraid to stand with your back to the boyz and pee on a bush with one hand on your hip gazing to the sky. This thing is great! I fly bush planes in Alaska where bearing it all in -40F is not ideal...The flight suits and insulated coveralls I have to wear fit me like a potato sack, so maneuvering to 'cup and press' isn't an issue. The Press is upward pressure on the back part of it with your pinky and ring finger and downward pressure with the thumb and index finger about half way out the spillway to keep a slight downward tilt (thumb pressure is on the hump in the middle-see product picture). Then maintain the pressure and gently pull the cup forward to wipe off any drips, no pain or discomfort, no hard plastic edges. There is a sweet spot where you Cup as far forward as you can so you have enough clearance for the...spillway splatter...to clear your shoes. If you cup too far rearward...literally...you'll have to spread your feet to avoid the splatter which causes your pants to tighten upward, which makes the tilt less downward. Too far forward, and its soggy britches. Really, you just need a good seal in the first inch of the cup centered around the urethra. You can...spread em'...to make a seal around the urethra, or just cup and press against everything. If you don't know where your's is, grab a hand mirror and go exploring...or just practice. Trimming assists in the seal, preventing backflow, and drips. You could see how hair in the channel could cause some overflow in the cup area...Well, I am a fan! I think about all the yellow, brown, and pink spattered, hair covered toilets I've hovered over...NO MORE! This thing is going places with me! Add a baggie of hand wipes to your kit and you're set. They'll start complaining about ME leaving the toilet seat up now! All those nasty public toilets in restaurants, autoshops, malls, grocery stores...and even a college son's apartment...can be used without fear! Think of the all dirty toilets someone else will clean because YOU won't be compelled to clean them anymore. Haaa!!!! I've got a bush to pee on somewhere...

Decided to try out a few different female urinals....
I am a nurse at a hospital and a patient came in with a female urinal. I had never seen one before but thought it was very interesting. She said that it was great to use in the hospital when on bedrest (much easier and less messy than a bedpan) and for road trips where clean bathrooms are hard to come by. I thought the idea was pretty neat, so I went on the internet, went crazy and bought three of them...the GoGirl, PStyle, and Venus To Mars. I tried them all and this is what I found.P.S. Hate to ruin the video, but spoiler alert… Venus To Mars was my favorite.Go Girl- Cool name and nice packaging, but it was too flimsy and too easy to make a mess...NOT FUN, my least favorite of the three.Venus To Mars & Pstyle- Great Products, made of sturdy plastic and a long spout that made sure I never made a mess when I used them. Easy to clean and the best part is that is that I could use them without taking my pants all the way down to my ankles. lolThey are both very similar and technically gave me the same results. The only difference was that the Venus To Mars is narrower, much more comfortable to use and has a cute discreet pouch to store and carry it in.Final Verdict:Even though both the Venus to Mars and Pstyle gave me the same great results my preferred choice is the Venus To Mars. It is much more comforatable and it is the better value. The Venus To Mars included a very nice carrying case that I can use to store the female Urinal. The Pstyle did not include a carrying case.

Miles better than the shewee!!
I am constantly on the move for work, often going for hours at a time without access to a toilet. I purchased a shewee a few months ago, and after a few practices at home (in the shower/bath), I was disappointed using it in reality; even while squatting, the funnel was not big enough to catch everything, no matter which way round I was using it, and resulted in multiple spillages and lots of wet knickers/trousers - had to be said!Anyway I did some web research and found a useful comparison of four female portable urinary devices, and the Pstyle came out tops. So I bought it, and so far have had more luck in practice at home than I ever did with the shewee. The material is quite hard, and you have to kind of wedge it up against yourself to catch everything. However it is very sturdy and steady, your urine will flow out of you and straight ahead/down, depending on which direction you're holding it. I've never tried it standing up but squatting is relatively easy.

I'm a disabled lady and had previously bought the whizz, shewee and go girl, all of which either back flowed or leaked. The Pstyle is fab from 1st use no leaking during use and trick is too totally relax on urinating and tilt end tip down towards the toilet or wherever you are urinating into /onto , Instructions said to kegel which means to stop flow during urination by clenching your pelvic floor muscles but I read on other websites not too do this as it can damage your pelvic floor muscles and make incontinence worse or p,f muscles weaker. You have to make a decision on that yourself ? I have also tried this sitting down on a chair as I also use a wheelchair. I found that if you position the Pstyle as you would standing with your full weight on it as sitting normally it was impossible to urinate because of downward pressure. The way to proceed is to lean your weight backwards onto the back of your pelvis towards your bottom and you can then freely pee into a receptacle of your choice or outdoors if you need to. After urination slide the Pstyle forwards and this motion catches the last few drops of urine so no need for toilet roll (don't tip it backwards as the urine will spill on you!) and finally wash with soap and water or a wipe and re-bag for next use. N.B. This item is sold as a standing female urination device but hope this feedback will help others?

Easy to use
Works well and is a bit more foolproof than the Shewee. However, it is also bigger and a little more awkward to carry and to insert in your underwear. The instructions tell you to wash it out afterwards using soap and water, which is a little weird since I wouldn’t need to use this if I had access to a bathroom with soap and water. It doesn’t have a carry case so you’d have to use a ziplock plastic bag or something similar.I think for hiking the Shewee with its carry case might be better.Well, since I wrote the above, I went on a group walking holiday. The Pstyle is great and much easier to use than the Shewee. It copes with a bigger flow and it is not so critical where you hold it. I find it more comfortable too. Basically, just remember to tip it downwards and have your back to the wind!

Not my favourite
Bought a drysuit which needs a shewee type device, so bought this, a shewee extreme, and a shewee flexi. This was my second choice, and I'm going to stick it in my BA because it's small, in case I ever forget my shewee flexi (top choice), but hoping that I never have to use it.There are three main issues with it. The first is that it's short, which makes it difficult to negotiate it's way through all my zillion layers of thermals. The second is the open funnel. I frankly just do not trust it. You REALLY have to control your flow. The third is placing it. I found I was holding it tight against myself so no pee escaped, but because it's made of hard plastic, I was actually pressing it so hard against the urethra (or some other biological bit), it was actually restricting the flow. I guess that's a matter of practice - but do you want practice where you repeatedly pee yourself? Not inside a drysuit. In conclusion, the shewee flexi, for all I dont love either, I do trust more than this.

Woohoo!
I can pee on a tree, just like my husband!Ok, so I can't write my name in the snow, but at least I'm not peeing into the back of my shoes anymore... No more hanging tail off a trail and hoping someone doesn't drive/walk by. Goodbye freezing the back end off in a snow drift, or squatting into a nettle patch!I tried the she-wee, and although it's a good concept, the catch cup was just too narrow, and if you let loose you will flood the funnel and end up wet. Not fun and I wasn't impressed with the learning curve. However this product solved that issue with a slightly larger catch area, and a deeper well. You almost have to try and spill to actually spill. (Played with the devise under a tap to see how water flows along it, it's actually quite difficult to get it to spill off the sides or back.) So I'd give this 7 stars if possible for the no learning curve involved. Haven't had an accident yet!The down side:This devise is a touch longer than the she-wee and there is no case that comes with it. Shame, I'd like to have it in a case. Preferably something I can also stuff some wet wipes into for quick in the field clean up. You don't wanna just stuff it in a pocket or your purse after use without cleaning it first. The bag that it comes with will work for a little while, but is not going to hold up long term.. Maybe a pencil case/bag or something. It's about as long as a standard unsharpened pencil, so it should fit in one of those cheapy plastic zip-up pencil cases. Really the only down side to this devise is after use storage.

Simply great!
It took quite a while for me to decide which device to choose out of all those available out there. I finally found a website that compared ALL the brands! It made my choice much easier as the Pstyle was rated the most practical to "fit" when you're wearing trousers. I tried it in the shower for the first time, and could place it right away, instinctively, without faffing about for ages and it worked fine! I was really thrilled because I thought I'd require much more practice than that. Self confidence boosted, I tried it,in the toilets, wearing trousers and leggings. It took me quite a while to relax enough actually! It's quite daunting but no one was watching so here we go... Perfect! Peeing like a man, aiming for the toilet bowl is definitely one of the weirdest sensation! I didn't experience any leaks. When it was "done", I removed the Pstyle and doing so, gently brushed the back "edge" to get the drop in it rather than on my trousers or panty (does what I write make sense??) and I found that I was quite dry and didn't need toilet paper.I've never tried another device so I cannot compare but this one is just perfect for me. Plus it's easy to clean. The only thing it doesn't have is a pouch to store it; that would be pretty useful to have when you go for a walk.

I call it the Porta Penis, and I love it
I've recently started a sport that has me routinely spending time on sparsely-covered hills and mountains. I've had a few occasions where I've been driven half mad, scuttling around trying to find a big enough tree I can squat behind. Let's face it, being a woman can be highly undignified in these situations. Thorns and nettles exist, as do stinging ants and any number of other creepy crawlies you haven't invited to visit your nether regions. I've cursed the men with me who pop off barely a yard away, on practically an hourly basis. Also, when you're starting to feel the urge - even when it isn't urgent yet - it is highly distracting and kills all the enjoyment from your activity when you're starting to panic about the closest restroom. The Pstyle works!! Yes I haven't felt quite so manly in all my life (not that there's anything wrong with that...), but what a relief it is to quickly nip round the corner, unzip the front of your trousers, and relieve yourself, with nary a bare bum in sight.I admit, the Pstyle is not something you can discretely put in your pocket. I have it zipped in my rucksack, in its ziplock bag along with a tissue. You don't REALLY need the tissue but it is good to have in any case.Be sure to practice at home a couple of times so that you can avoid any nasty surprises - you need to be sure you're using enough pressure and hold it in a decent angle to be sure you don't end up directing the flow on yourself. It shakes dry really quickly, doesn't smell or anything like that.It is something my friends laugh at me about, and I can't say I'm going to rush to stand next to the men to show off my skills, but this simple device has revolutionised my outdoor activities!

I practised at home beforehand in the loo-it's easy to aim and I used it on the Challenge ...
As a woman of a certain age about to do the Three Peaks Challenge, I was worried about a lack of bushes to duck behind when the occasion arose. This device solved the problem. It really works-you can wee discretely, standing up and fully clothed with no leaks. I practised at home beforehand in the loo-it's easy to aim and I used it on the Challenge (there weren't any bushes). I cannot recommend this highly enough for hiking or any other outdoor activity.

By far the best on the market
This product is the best thing ever! Having tried the shewee years ago and had that "pee down your own leg" issue more often than not, I'd given up on finding anything suitable, but getting older and enjoying hill walking, and with a teenager about to embark on Duke of Edinburgh in a mixed group, I decided to do some research and found the Pstyle. Daughter and I each got one and have a 100% success rate, no issues whatsoever. Now all the girls want to get one for the next D of E, and I can enjoy long walks without baring my nether regions to all and sundry!

Works really well!
Read loads of reviews of different devices before purchasing this one. Haven't used it in the wild yet, but had quite a few practice runs over the toilet. First time spilled a couple of drops, but after that no leakage at all even when wearing jeans. No need to hold back, it coped with full flow (i.e. when you are bursting) without any spillage. Be warned that after you have finished, there may be a pool left inside the device. This is not a problem so long as you tip it downwards as you remove it, so any retained liquid flows out.

Lee's wife thinks this is fantastic
This is fantastic! It worked first time with no leaks. I was very uncertain at first but I am so glad I bought this. I never write reviews but felt I had to recommend the Pstyle. I was a little worried about it being open and wee coming out but it doesn't. As long as you remember to lean slightly forward and aim down, this will work. I have to unbutton my jeans but I can still go standing up without having to bare my bits :-) I wish I had found this product years ago. I also bought a shewee and unfortunately I ended up wet on my first try. Not good. Still, I will practise. I am sure if I find the right position this will work too.I could use the Pstyle first time and highly recommend it. I have used it 6 times with clothes on and no leaks. It is easy to position. I am so happy that I can now go for long walks and not have to worry about finding a suitable bush to hide behind . :-)

Great product.
Great product. I work outdoors in quite remote areas so use mine a lot. It’s easy to use and very easy to clean. It takes a bit of used to and you have to be careful not to pee too hard or it can over flow but I’m really happy with mine and it’s solved a lot of problems for me.

Disappointing
I found this almost impossible to use without mess. Being rigid meant it could not easily be manipulated into position without undressing and the shape did not ensure a neat flow. Very disappointed

Five Stars
Although it looks basic, it works, for me, much more reliably - due to it's rigidity.

This is the one you should get
Excellent product! Great fit when put it "in between", easy to take with you, eliminates the need for TP, and you can easily reuse it on day trips if you rinse between uses and then wash it when possible. I absolutely love it.
