Q: how can it be 100% beeswax and say petroleum in the ingredients ?

It has both ingredients beeswax and petroleum . The petroleum keeps the beeswax suspended and worktable and pliable keeping a thick consistency one must know how to properly use it

Q: is this too thick to use for mustache wax?

Honestly, it isn't thick enough. It's good for keeping an unruly beard in line, but it doesn't get stiff enough to make for good 'stache styling.

Hello Ava Frati, Murray's Beeswax has the consistency of a very thick petroleum jelly. It is the color of off-whitish yellow. It is almost odorless. It is reputed to be made from the wax of Australian bees. It is popular for sealing the tips of braids and dreadlocks. Personally, I have been using it to treat a drying and cracking bad skin condition on my legs. I reason that since a big wad of spider webs can seal a deep laceration over-night (without infection), I am guessing that beeswax (another magical insect secretion) should have healing power as well. After cleaning my leg area with peroxide and alcohol (and wiping it dry) I apply the beeswax which has a soothing, smoothing, healing, and anti-itch effect.

Q: Can I use this product on my dogs paws?

Although this is a great product I would not recommend using it on your dogs paws. It does a terrific job of laying down my hair and edges. It's thick and a lil sticky therefore it would cause his/her paws to attract a lot of dust and lent.
