Keeps your hands from freezing
First of all, I bought these to ride my scooter year-round in central Texas. I don't expect to use them much, which is why I didn't buy a more expensive/potentially more reliable pair of gloves. That said, I wore them tonight (during the mid-November 2019 arctic freeze that hit the country). Also, my scooter has a top speed around 55mph, and I rode it at top speed with the gloves on.On the way there to an hour long meeting in the evening, in about 39 degree weather, I didn't use the heaters at all. My hands stayed pretty ok, but did get cold enough that I decided to use the heaters the next time. On the way back, the temperature had dropped to more like 29 degree weather, and I used the heaters. The right hand heater didn't work for some reason. When I got home, I tried to troubleshoot it, but I couldn't replicate the problem, so it was working fine. It did give me a chance to compare directly to the left heater, which worked fine. My left hand was fine, my right hand was painfully cold. Since I couldn't replicate the symptoms, I'm going with loose connection that was a one-time thing, and I'll make sure my connections are tight in the future. You don't feel the heat of the heater working while you're wearing them, which was a little disorienting. Also, because of that, you don't really know if the heaters are working because your hands still get cold. The difference, of course, is that they only get cold, they don't get painfully cold, and my fingers were still pretty articulate while riding (on my left hand, which controls the turn signals, horn, and rear brakes). I was also wearing a quite warm safety jacket with reflective gear that kept my core nice and warm. After a quick googling, it looks like, for skiers, downhill racers will hit speeds comparable to my scooter speeds. My estimate is that these gloves are probably fine down to 25 degrees F or so. Recreational skiers tend to go a bit slower, so you'd be able to take them out in colder air, but I wouldn't try to hazard a guess on that. I also wouldn't want to rely on these gloves for a cross-country motorcycle trip in any weather where I need the heaters.Without the heaters, these are pretty standard gloves with excellent gauntlets that'll wrap your jacket sleeve opening just fine and keep most of the air out.I did find that the battery packs are a bit bulky, but it looks like the cable inside is long enough that you can mount the battery packs on your wrist, inside your jacket, instead. You'll need to get your own band for that, but I imagine you can get a velcro band pretty easily.I can't speak to the reliability over time. So, all in all, I'd recommend these gloves, especially if your budget is tight, but once someone from up north chimes in with a statement on reliability over a longer winter period than we get in Texas, I'd do whatever they said.

Providing warmth
These gloves do heat up but have very poor battery life. Requiring a battery change, roughly every 3rd use (running for about 20-30 minutes a use)

They are heated gloves but they don’t heat your fingers
Was excited to get these based on the photo showing heat throw out the fingers and thumb. However, they surely disappointed in that regard. My fingertips froze. The middle of my hands were lovely warm - but seriously, what’s the point of that.

Just meh..
They certainly do not HEAT UP but they do get above room temperature which is better than nothing. I was expecting a lot more heat but overall, pretty good gloves.

Tight fit going on.
These gloves are pretty tight to get on, but once on are OK. Haven’t kept them on long enough to see true battery life.

Heated Gloves? More like slightly warmed gloves...
Gloves are "skiing/snowboarding style", the "heating" is a joke. The inside temp increase was slightly noticeable while I tried them inside my apartment. When I rode my motorcycle for 15 miles in NW U.S. at 6 a.m. the heating did not work. I wear 2 pairs usually (good leather gloves with lining & cheap thinner ones from a discount store) and my hands were feeling about the same when I arrived at work wearing the "heated gloves".

Too small
Too small for husband hands. When ordering could not find a drop down for different sizes.
