This was the easiest to install and love how easy to use, we put it on our door that leads to our basement so our grandbabies don’t open it! Great product

My son needed to get these locks for the doors because my granddaughter thinks it’s funny at 3 to “run away” or hide and seek outside in the dead of winter and we are expecting snow with blizzard like conditions. This set for of male and female plates with their respective functions worded when not only when he put them on the front and side door but it also contained my little wild child granddaughter. No more slipping out unnoticed while thinking she is taking a. Nap in her room but she is such a church mouse that she is a sneaky little thing. There is not a stranger that she hasn’t met as a friend. Had she ever gotten out and gotten hurt badly if not killed. These are strong made, and while maybe not the prettiest thing it is working.

Work good for locking our door

I bought the Jack N' JiIl Drill Swing Bar Door Guard for several reasons: Its Satin Nickel finish matched our existing doorknob, the smooth design, and the humorous video demonstrating its durability using a sledgehammer. That was the selling point. It came with a choice of screws and plastic shims. One shim was needed for the door since the molding around the door was beveled, not flat. The installation was easy, using a battery-operated drill and screwdriver. When opening the door with the latch installed, the gap was about 2", and the ball joint fit perfectly in the latch both opening and closing it. I don't think I'll be using a sledgehammer as demonstrated, but it seems durable and will offer the security needed.

Watched a video of a guy trying to bust through a door with different types of security locks and this is the one he had the most trouble with. I figure none would be absolutely perfect, but with this one, an unwanted guest would have to make a lot of noise and I'd be alerted by then. Just use the longest screws you can to increase the efficacy and these are perfect. Would recommend

Absolutely perfect! If you want a 2nd or 3rd layer of door security, this is it. Very solid molding, long heavy bolts, easy to operate. You see these exact models in good hotel rooms. So yes, I highly recommend.

This item is exactly what I ordered! I had this years ago and it does make me feel secure being that it adds an extra layer of safety to my home.
