Arnold (WLM-180) Commercial Grade String Trimmer Line.08-Inch x 280-Foot Universal Fit

Never have I found a weapon so powerful as this Maxi trimmer line. I have been sentenced to cutting down the fields and while my almighty powerful trimmer created by the great Ryobi has done me well, the trimmer line that came with it has not. I cannot find this in the common shops so I had to summon the great AMAZON to grant me more line. This trimmer line is so strong that they had to include a special cutting blade that is sharp enough to cut through it as a simple blade would not be sufficient. Now I am readily equipped to handle anything that comes my way while I cut the fields, it can even fend off the evil dragon lady who sentenced me to cut these fields.

I have a Cub Cadet walk behind trimmer. It comes with those neon orange square strings that work very well except for burdocks. We have some pretty tall burdock that just eats those lines up. I needed something that had a bit better cutting edge. Well this works better (still not great but I can get through 2 or 3 plants per line vs. 3 lines per plant before). On non burdock plants this string is a beast. We mowed 2 tanks of gas (about 2 hours of heavy thick weeds). and still had about half the length remaining. The other strings I used would break off at the locking point leaving like a half a string worth of line. This stuff wears done and I have not seen any long lengths laying around anywhere. The only negatives I have found is the included line cutter is a joke (you can barely get this line in slot let alone cut it). I use wire cutters and pre cut the lengths and store them in a homemade holder I mounted to the handle (ABS underground conduit and some end caps and zip ties). Also the line retains a curl memory from being on the reel (really hasn't effected performance, just makes reloading a bit of a pain). I use my trimmer and lot (Mow 2+ acres of weeds a couple times a year plus areas under my pine trees and around my stream) so it is nice to have such a good replacement line.Year 2 with this line and I'm still very pleased. I get an amazing amount of time on this in regular weeds. It will cut through small saplings with just some tips fray. I have yet to have a string break at the attachment point and this wears very well. Memory curl is an issue but once it is spinning it really doesn't matter.

I've been using this in my 80v Kobalt electric string trimmer. It works very nicely and seems to be lasting much longer than the string that came with the trimmer. I would definitely buy this again.

This string is killer! We've been using some other orange stuff on our Black and Decker cordless string trimmer and it has been a real pain. We used to have to stop and feed the line out every few minutes and it wouldn't feed itself out. WIth the Arnold Maxi-Edge, everything about the trimming experience is better. It cuts WAY better, probably due to it's star shaped profile. It breaks WAY less. Last time I trimmed our 1/3 acre yard, including all of the curbing, and both sides of our 210 foot sidewalk plus our driveway, I had to attend to the string once. I cut through dirt, hard clumps of grass and whatever else was in my way with ease.I LOVE THIS STUFF! It has made trimming SO much easier. I'll definitely be buying more and would highly recommend it.

I have the EGO 12" 56V grass trimmer, and the EGO replacement spool with 16' of line (8' in each direction) runs around $10 for a replacement. The problem is that when the line runs out, the spooler and the bearing are still fine and don't need to be replaced. I bought this Arnold Maxi-Edge and refilled the spool myself. I was surprised how much better this line performs over the EVO brand. I was burning through the EVO line cutting through ivy leaves and their stems. This line was far superior. It whips up and breaks those thick ivy lines, grass and weeds way faster than the EVO brand. Plus 140' of it will last a long time since each refill uses up roughly 16'. Highly recommend this for anyone with an EGO battery powered trimmer.

Having used my monster Echo gas weedwhacker machine for 14 years, I needed a lighter unit because my wife complained it was too heavy for her to use. I went and bought a "Worx" battery powered lightweight unti for her and she was thrilled. Now my 0.90 line will not fitt on the new machine, so I went searching for Aftermarket line for the Worx machine. checked reviews and settled on this Arnold line, bought two spools to try. Result is we are very please with the durability of the line, easy to reload the little Workx spools, Had decent durability. Highly recommend this line if you need a 0.65 line.

The commercial grade MaxiEdge .065” trimmer line is an excellent value and comes in a convenient to use package with an enclosed cutting tool.Instead of the normal round shape of most trimmer lines, the MaxiEdge is six sided. In theory this will give a better cut and the line will last longer. I have not done any testing to try and prove this claim. You would need some sophisticated testing equipment to carry out such a test. What I can say is that the MaxiEdge did an excellent job.For me, buying a bulk spool is the only way to go. The 220 foot spool will certainly last the full cutting season. Buying pre-loaded spools is far too expensive. The MaxiEdge is very competitively priced – it was the least expensive line I found.I’m very pleased with the convenience packaging, the ease of spooling, the enclosed cutting tool, the performance and the price.

this is some tough line - I keep some of this "commercial grade" as well as a spool of "professional grade" - I use the professional for my daily usage & this grade for when i want tougher line. I've found that when I use this line, I eat up my wooden 4x4 fence posts much easier so I use it primarily for edging driveways, sidewalks, etc & my daughter uses this for trimming along her chain link fence & loves it since she doesnt have to use near as much

The package arrived quite quickly from the seller. Packaging looks decent. It is a 6-point star-shaped cross section trim line. The following is my review for the Arnold WLM-H65 WLM-H65 .065-Inch Maxi-Edge Commercial Trimmer Line.I decided to unwind the whole thing to see if it is 220 feet. I would've expected a tad more length as most manufacturers for their products provide customers the benefit of the doubt. However, to my surprise, that is not the case here. I'm actually short 12.5 feet! Here is how I measured the unwound spool of the trim line:My basement has two poles roughly about 11.8 feet apart. I used the tape measure and wrapped it the round trip distance on both poles to get 283 inches. Now I clamp one end of the trim line and start going around the poles with no crisscrosses and making sure the trim line is taut. I get 8 full wraps with 225 inches remaining length. Let's do the math here:283 inches on one wrap around the 2 poles x 8 = 2,264 inches+ 225 inches remaining = 2,489 inches-----------------------------------------Total in feet: 2,489 inches / 12 inches per feet = 207.4 feetTotal Claimed by Manufacturer: 220 feet-----------------------------------------Total Deviation: 12.6 feet less!Think about this: For every 20 customers that are short 12.5 feet, the manufacturer gains an extra roll to sell. Multiply this by 1000 rolls sold, the seller can sell an extra 50 rolls!Moral of this review is, for trim lines, get it at the cheapest price you can get it at. These things break no matter what. Just buy these at the lowest price possible at the longest lengths. My calculation says that if you can get it at $0.07-0.10/ft, it's a pretty good deal. This trim line is at a price of $0.14/ft, which is double the cost. Not sure if commercial vs residential grade justify doubling of the cost. I will definitely do a final review once I start using this trim line vs the stock trim line I got with the Yardworx cordless trimmer.Update: July 14, 2022:-----------------------------I actually had a chance to cut some grass along the edges and around some sandstones. I would say that these 6-point star cross-section trim line is no better but maybe worse than the OEM trimline that came with my cordless Worx trimmer. These break fast and I had to keep pulling out longer lines to cut grass and weeds. If these are commercial grade, you're just paying more because one would think that commercial grade stuff are tougher or lasts longer. I would buy the residential trim lines next time.

I was searching for some good string because the one I was using was constantly breaking and it was really annoying. First, I bought string from Canadian Tire and I bought thicker one, hoping that it will be more durable and will not break so easily since I have very large property with a lots of rocks and roots. It was holding fairly well on easy surface, but once I got to the rocky terrain, it was breaking up perhaps every 5 minutes. So I started searching for something else. I am usually very skeptical about reviews so when I read review for this string, I was hoping that at least 50% is true.Well, this may sound like I was paid by the manufacturer to promote this particular string here. Of course, I was not paid. But I have to declare with all seriousness - THIS IS THE BEST STRING I EVER HAD in my over 60 years of existence on this planet. I finished second cleaning of the property and THIS STRING DID NOT BREAK UP ONCE !!!!! On top of that, it is cutting like razor blade!!! Even at lower speed, this is absolutely incredible string ! I still cannot believe it, seriously. I tried numerous different strings already, but none of them comes even close to this one !!! And the trimmer even goes from lower speed to high speed almost instantly, as oppose when I had the thicker string. It is UNBELIEVABLE how this one performs !!!I have to say that this is absolute MUST for anyone who is using trimmers. Cutting like razor blade, not breaking up at all and lasting seriously forever !!!Don't even look on other strings, just buy this one and trust me, you will not be disappointed and will save money. This is TOP QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE !!! Huge thank you to the manufacturer !!!

out of stoke, but i know its a good product, i have similar company, and did a lots of research on why this one and no a other type

Been through my fair share of different trimmer line and this is by far the toughest and most effective. Will be buying this stuff from now on

A spool fitting my weed eater would cost $14 and last one run. I have to wind this one up but no problem there... and I'm still on the same roll. Great.
