Long lasting
I bought the large for my 10 pound dog. She loves it!! Can lick it for hours!!! Keeps her very busy and occupied! The replacement is a bit challenging to get into the holder. You really have to work it in there. The outside case is indistructable! And the large size is perfect for her to hold in her paws! She didn't like the small one and was able to lick/ chew the small one pretty quickly

My dogs love!
They are great treats! My dogs have sensitive stomachs and this does not affect them at all! It is a good healthy treat to give them. They last long and are very durable for my chewing fur babies. My dogs love them and they are a great price for how long they last and how delicious my dogs think that they are! Will order more when I run out!

Everlasting Dog Treats -- Love at First Bite!
This was an instant success for our food- and treat-fussy Siberian, and our "normal" voracious Malamute. Pros: 1) Most importantly: If our siberian will accept (as in devour!) these treats, we predict most any other fussy pups will too. 2) Someone intelligently designed the treat holders and shape of the treats themselves so that they can't be immediately removed and consumed... our dogs spend hours working on their treat ball. True to their breeds, our pups get in an occasional gnawing moment, but for the most part they have to lick and nibble their way through their treat. Which means when we leave for an extended time, they are honorably occupied, not bored, and not getting into mischief. 3) The ball itself is made of a soft-ish, somewhat pliable material, and yet appears to be indestructible. Time will tell. 4) A variety of flavors. We purchased each of the available flavors to learn which would "win", and immediately discovered that all flavors send our pups into exited expectation when they see their ball coming. 5) You can put your own treats inside the ball itself, but it looks like a tough nut for any dog to get to. Con: and this could be a good thing: it's hard getting a treat into the ball unless you have strong hands/wrists, or a smooth ended spoon handle to help peel the retaining edge of the treat ball opening over the edge of the treat. This means your pup will not likely remove the treat in one lump (unless he uses that smooth spoon handle) and immediately consume it.

Can be fun for dogs when used cautiously and occasionally
I've been buying these for the past year. I have three dogs who weigh between 45 and 55 pounds, depending on how much they can mooch treats from me. :} My dogs love almost anything they are given, so taste is not part of the review at all. One of my dogs is a pit mix. She is as adorable as can be, but she definitely has that strong edge that pits have. The pros: the first few times the dogs were given these, they did last almost a half hour. They were new and unknown to my dogs. They had fun digging these out of the treat balls that they are made for. Supposedly, it helps with the dental aspect. I really can't say if it does or not, but I like thinking that it does. It comes in a pack of two, ideal for those who have two dogs. I have three, as I said, so I always have to get two packs at least. Finally, as of this review date, it is part of the Subscribe and Save program so you can find lower prices by going that route. The cons: after they figured these treats out, it has gotten easier for the dogs to learn not only how to get them out of the treat ball, but to eat them quicker. They are still "entertained" for 10 to 15 minutes, but it's not that 20-30 minutes that it used to be. It's also made in China, so I am cautious on how often I give the dogs this as a treat. I do it sparingly. Overall, I feel okay about treating to my dogs to these once or twice a month, though sometimes they have a long break between getting them if the pricing is too high. If you find this when it's on sale, it can be a very reasonable expense. When it gets up over $4.00, I definitely pass.

My Elkhound is a huge fan of these!
We've tried other options from this brand and while the Elkhound likes the other ones, this is by far his favorite shape and flavor (chicken). Following the instructions to wet the edges and letting it dry in the treat is the key to it lasting longer than he can chomp it up. I made the mistake of just sticking one in and he had it popped out in seconds to eat like a dental chew... Little monster. Wetting the edges and allowing it to dry in the treat ball (made by same company) glued it in there and made it more challenging. Good price for two treats, only sounds are the chewing and throwing, well designed. Will buy again.

My dog loves these
My dog loves these. I use them in the large fire hydrant like holder and they really do last for a very, very long time. (I have an 80 lb doberman who loves to chew. Nothing other than original nylabones outlast this.) It is quite hard, a good value for the money. A little difficult to get into the holder, but equally hard for Boris to get out and that is what makes it last so long.

Dog likes it but it isn't everlasting
This is just the refill, make sure you also get the "housing" for it. My dog is an aggressive chewer and really persistent. I just gave her one of these, and 90 minutes later, she is done with it. She loved it, but it certainly isn't "everlasting." I'm also not sure how much the "housing" works to clean her teeth, because she nibbled it away with her front teeth. I will keep looking for something for my special dog...

Great treat option - makes yer beast work for it!
My dog is a shepherd/retriever mix and is a super-chewer. His super strong jaws can destroy virtually anything that he chews. These treats are like convex pucks & they insert into Starmark / Everlast Bento Balls & probably some other types of similar toys. I use a butter knife to help insert the puck into the bento ball; others get the edges of the puck slightly wet before trying to insert it into the ball. My dog will work on one of these off & on during chew sessions for a few days (most of the time), though he has at times been able to get the puck free from the ball and then has a massive chomping session as he consumes the treat. I like these & have bought many, many, many of these over the last couple of years! Recommended!

The Treat should not be used without the rubber ball. I've been using everlasting treat balls and pucks for close to 17 years. It's always been a reliable source of safe chewing options and licking for my last 16 year old dog and my new puppy. You need to check the size to ensure you are getting the right one for your size of dog. My 60 lb dog had a medium but was too small. We got a large and it's better. It's great if you have a dog needing an outlet. You can put treats on the backside... they have to figure out to get them. Upside it can help clean their teeth too.

These are fantastic when used in the Everlasting Treat Ball. It was hard for me to find something that Stella liked enough that she’d start chewing it right away, but at the same time would last for more than a minute or two. This is one of the few things that is good in both respects without also being very messy or making the whole house smell like bacon. Shipping was a bit slow, but very satisfied with the product.
