I bought a 2 pack , IM still using the first one~. Ive been using it for a year, to filter fruit and grains. The thing is def sturdy and well made. I had 10 pounds of mashed peaces inside it and it didnt rip when I picked it out of the five gallon bucket and squeezed out the wine. Use it to filter mash out of the fermentation barrel or on the pot end. Im too cheap to taint the second one thougth, I keep washing the thing out and drying it on the clothesline! As soon as the first one rips im ordering an new one so I always have a fresh backup! Aside from a hydrometer, its the main tool in ANY distillers toolbox!

bags tore on the 5th or 6th usage. Not sure if it was the bags or our press.

The mesh bag that came with our press wasn't fine enough to stop leakage, so I got these to use instead. Well, we're new to this pressing business, and these were so big the mash was squishing out around the pressing plates. We ended up using this bag on the inside of the bag that came with our press and it worked just fine. Next year I'll sew sew up the seams to match the original bag so only one will be needed. The bag is a lovely fine mesh and works well . .but it's BIG - for our unit anyway.

I bought these bags to see if they would work for filtering stock. The answer is a resounding yes! They are very deep so you can pour all the stock at once. Personally, I place the bag over a strainer, and drain that way. Whichever way you choose, theses bags drain well and filter out any bits so your stock is clear. Being able to wash and reuse them is an added bonus

I Used them to press apples and they worked great, they were easy to clean and held up well, hopefully I wont have to replace them any time soon.
