I ordered two of these heat mats and they work perfectly. I poked the temp sensor for the controller into a center of the seed tray. Seeds started to germinate that I thought were not good. Very good product. AND to the people that complain about the mat being stiff, it is PVC like the extension cords and plastic pipe. It gets better when hot. It’s fine. Great. Wonderful. Why would you care anyway? You roll it out, put a planter on it and plug it into a controller. Not like you’re walking around with it in your pocket.

Opulent systems continues to deliver adorable but well made products. I use these for my seedlings and seed germination. It speeds up the process and keeps the plants warm and happy. You get two warming pads for this price and they work well. My local hydro shop is $30-40 per pad… never again.

I was losing too many seedlings to damping off fungus . My house if fairly cool in the winter, and they needed more heat to thrive. These have helped my plants to grow vigorously so that I have less trouble. Works great with the VIVOSUN thermostat.

These are wonderful! Easy to set up (open the bag and unroll them), truly waterproof, and best of all, my seeds germinated much faster than last year. You don’t have to use a temperature sensor. These just don’t get too hot. You might save a bit of electricity with a sensor, but it’s not necessary. They seem to keep the soil above them at about 70-80 degrees, but I didn’t put in a thermometer, I just felt it with my fingers at various times. When it was 60 in the plant room, it seemed about 70 in the soil, and when it was 70 in the room, it felt like 75-80 in the soil. Anyway, the seeds loved it. Most have already germinated except the ones that take a very long time normally. The tomato seeds and melons mostly germinated in less than a week! It took two weeks last year in a room off the garage that runs 50-70 degrees, depending on how cold it is outside.

I bought this specifically to grow microgreens in my basement, which is a constant 62° year round. It's thin and warmer in the middle than at the edges, but if you're using a two tray system it gets the job done. with a one tray system you will notice that the center of your trays will not germinate unless you put a towel or something underneath it to dissipate the heat from the center. In all, as beginner and just as a self-grower, these hit my price point and do the job. I look forward to starting my seedlings for my outdoor garden on these as well.

Matts arrived promptly and as discribed. After plugging them in I didn't think they were working but the discription says they raise the temps 12 to 15 degrees. Contacted Opulent and they very quickly sent me another pair, at no charge. The new units arrived and these pads had the same result, no heat (I thought). Felt that 4 bad units was highly improbable. Got my digital thermometer out and to my surprise all units were in fact working as discribed by the company I just couldn't feel it in my 40 degree garage. I contacted Opulant and told them what had transpired and they were very happy. This company has tremendous customer service! I am so impressed! Marlene in Colorado Springs

Bought 2 packs a few years ago, they still work, bought a few more packs and couldn't be happier. Considering I like keeping a majority of the house at 66-67 degrees, these heat mats (and a small space heater in the green room) help all of our heat needing seedlings and starts do their thing. They come rolled in a nice reusable bag, so 1: they need to be flattened & 2: they're plastic, so duh, they have an odor. We put them on plastic bin lids that are lined with OATEY foam wrap for insulation. When combined with Hytekgro LED Grow Light 45W grow lights, we are having a VERY successful start to the season.

This is my first year using these heat mats to start vegetables, and I wish had ordered these five years ago when we first bought our new house. I have a small room with lots of windows that I keep warmer than the rest of the house and usually get germination in a week or two at the end of February. with these mats, my tomatoes, cucumbers, & squash had germinated within 3 days. My peppers germinated within the week. The head start this gave me is well worth it.

Durable must have’s for seeding. I used these with tomato and pepper seedlings and they worked a treat! I also have used them in the greenhouse in colder nights around pots and they are a big help. I’m happy with this product

This is not a product suitable for Australian power sockets. It doesn't specify much in the ad. Took forever to arrive, turned out it came from the UK with a UK socket plug. Disappointment number one, needed to turn around and buy adaptors for multiple mats. Put my mycelium on them when they arrived, only to discover it is WAY too hot - is over 40 degrees C - killed everything. Very unhappy!! Need a more detailed ad.

Awesome price and product for the price, 2 mats for almost what you pay for 1 mat.. Can't really go wrong there!The mats are of good quality, heat up perfect and seem as though they will last for what you need them for.Fast shipping and overall pleased with the product. Works well. Wish the mats were longer so you can fit a whole 72 ct seed starter tray on it though

Great quality heat pad, seems very durable and a nice temperature, one was the perfect size I needed for my trays but hey 2 is better then 1. Would highly recommend this heat matt to anyone.
