This smells amazing! Very similar to a Catherin Malandrino scent I love. Perfect way to see if you truly like a scent before buying a large bottle.

I recently received a sample of Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium, and while I was excited to try it, I was disappointed to find that the vial was less than half full.I understand samples are meant to provide just a taste of the fragrance, but with such a small amount, it was difficult to properly experience the scent over multiple uses. I would have liked to fully test how the fragrance evolves throughout the day or try it on different occasions, but with so little product, that wasn’t possible.The scent itself was pleasant, but I would have appreciated more product to give it a fair assessment.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope future samples can be more generously filled to better reflect the brand’s quality and customer care.

Based on the reviews, I knew I was taking a gamble ordering this. I knew it might be less than half full. As you can see, I guess I got lucky. Upon first smelling this, I didn't like it. I thought it smelled like old lady. Maybe I was just in a bad mood. Because when I sprayed it on myself the next day, I LOVED IT!😍 this smells like something a wealthy, attractive, older woman would wear. Mature and sexy, not quite grandma. I am 41, and I like it. It lasts around 3 to 4 hours. I have noticed at work that men prolong their conversations with me while I'm wearing this scent. Both young and old. I also got asked out, which rarely happens.

TLDR: the perfume is amazing but the size is too small for the price.The scent is very dark and romantic but not so heavy that it draws in too much negative attention. It is like a musky vanilla, definitely pair sweeter. No alcholic stinging of the nose.That being said, don't buy this tiny bottle. When I say it's small, it's seriously tiny. Hardly enough liquid for a single spritz. Just skip it and buy the bottle or try buying a larger sample from another independent seller. Not worth $6.

I guess I should have looked at the picture better. The little sample was only 1/2 full. For the price, it wasn't worth it. Smells nice but can't use it too often. 🤷‍♀️. Oh well, my fault.

i knew this bottle was going to be tiny based off of other reviews with photos, so i was anticipating that fact. the bottle arrived about 3/4 full which had me pretty happy as i'd seen other shots where the bottle appeared about half empty instead. one spritz is enough for me, and the staying power is pretty impressive. it easily lasts for several hours if not all day before the scent becomes too faint to notice without shoving my nose against my skin. i don't have a nose for perfume yet so i can't discern all the different scent profiles, but i can tell you that it's floral with a bit of spice and vanilla and it smells lovely.
