By far the best video game I've ever played!!! To be fair, the first time I tried playing this game was after it first came out and I wasn't a fan. Why? If you played and loved all of the original GOW games then you know why. Basically, everything was different, the game play, the story, the gods, the setting, and even Kratos' iconic weapons, the Blades of Chaos!" I was heart broken and barely gave the game a chance. Eventually i just stopped playing out of frustration. Fast forward to a month ago. I got covid and needed to kill time while in quarantine. Despite my lack of interest in the game I had heard nothing but amazing reviews about it so I decided to give it another try, this time with a completely open mind. Within no time I was hooked on the story. The graphics are second to none, and I simply changed the controls to match the old format. Once I did that I was able to truly enjoy the game play. Everything about the game was mind blowing but the best part was the incredible story. GOW never dropped the ball once when it was all about Greek mythology and they made sure to do all there homework on the Norse gods. Every detail is perfect and the characters have so much depth and personality. It's the kind of game that makes your eyes tear up when it's finally over and makes you desperate for the next game to come out! If you like rpg's, adventure, amazing graphics with lots of intense action, great fighting game play, good puzzles, and an amazing story, I promise you'll love this game. I do recommend either playing the originals first so you know exactly what's going on and so it'll mean more to you when certain things happen. Or at least learn about the GOW story leading up to this game. Also i played the game every day for 4 straight days before getting to the end. So it'll definitely take you a while. I still have so much more to still do though believe it or not. I can not wait for the next game to come out!! And that's an understatement!

Worked with my PS5. Very fun to play

This is the second God of War game I've played. Prior to this, I had only played the first one. The combat is very challenging and does require switching strategies between different enemies to be effective. It takes a little practice, but becomes a lot of fun as you get the hang of it. The story is good, though not the best. The depth of story in the side quests was very impressive. If you play the game, go ahead and play through the entire story line before challenging all the side quests. I had already completed everything else in game before finishing the story, and the story's ending felt anti-climactic because of it. Not sure it would have felt different if I had finished the story first, but it will at least give you something more to do afterwards.

The game is great, everyone knows that. I bought a used copy that was unscratched and worked perfectly.
