USGI INDUSTRIES BIVY TENT is the best sleeping tent to take into the woods or on a road trip. It’s made of strong heavy-duty materials such as rip-stop polyester and PVC coated stainless steel. With a water-resistant floor, you don’t have to worry about any water slipping through. The mesh net will protect you from flying insects and annoying mosquitos, while also keeping you fresh and well-ventilated. What are you waiting for to get this practical and convenient sleeping net system? WARNING: CONTENTS UNDER SPRING TENSION. KEEP AWAY FROM FACE AND BODY PARTS. KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE AND HEAT SOURCES.

Great tent for the money.
My Catoma’s fiberglass rods finally split apart, so I decided I’d give this one a try since it uses spring steel rods. It does not roll up as small in diameter as Catoma or Iguana tents. My previous bug-net tents with fiberglass folded three times, and the last fold is usually a serious wrestling match. This USGI tent folds only twice into a disk 1” X 18”. It’s larger in diameter, but a thinner disk and takes up about the same volume and fits fine in my backpack. It’s also much easier to fold up since it only requires two folds. The zippers run smooth. A minor mishap between a Jeep and the tent ended up in a slightly bent support rod, but I was able to straighten it right back into shape without causing permanent damage. Seems like a pretty good little tent so for.

That last fold is tricky, but it works
The folding: It comes with instructions and they're spot on. I was afraid I was going to break mine on that last fold after the "figure 8," so I watched a video online about it. Sure enough, the gentleman does a great job by being "firm" on that last fold just as the instructions say. My advice: follow the instructions to a T. If you have doubts, don't force it; watch a video and you'll see clearly how to do that last fold. I recommend folding it a couple of times before a trip to get used to it.Lastly, I got this for a trip to Asia and I might have to check my bag. It's not as small as I thought, although it's not super large either.

Poles wrapped and broke
My son took this to boy scout camp for a week. the poles didnt hold up and it came home snapped. We opened it a couple of times at home to practice packing it up with my cub scout before he left. The poles warped realy easily. Regardless it was a good height and no bugs got in. Just the poles failed

Loop broke with only one use.
I bought it to use at the Boy Scout summer camp for my son and after the second day, one of the loops broke. I have another, from a different manufacturer, that I have used for the last three years and it is in excellent condition, I could not find it, so I bought this one, but it is disappointing that it did not last as expected. I can not return it because time has passed.

Sleep bug free!
Great product! Although I found if you remove the pole system it comes with two loops across the top section and 4 stakes. So with the poles removed it becomes much more compact for a inside the book bag fit. Time is a sacrifice for this setup. The rope must go through the two loops to hold the net up with out the poles. In my opinion it’s worth the time for how much more compact the system becomes with out the poles.

Works ok, but is quite hot.
The screening doesn’t allow for a lot of airflow around you... makes it a little hot to sleep if you don’t have a breeze in summertime heat.

Broken frame and does not pop up fully
I just opened the package of the bivy tent and it does not pop out and lay flat as it should. Also, a section of the metal frame is broken or loose that would not reconnect back. Please advise on what to do. Thank you.

Sleeping tent
They reported the product is 84 inches I'm 6'2 and this tent is to short. They show tent stakes in the picture discriptions, but they are not included. Other than that this is a good product
