Solid??? This is a thick salsa, not watery, finely chopped not chunky. Best salsa you can buy. I buy it then break it down to quart freezer bags so that I always have some and if I’m not eating a ton of it, then I don’t have to worry about waste. Their hot is truly hot.

It typically starts to mold after 2+ months or so. Freeze it and leave out the portion you see yourself eating in one month. If I'm not pigging out on chips and salsa, one person, I'll go through 8oz a month

Plastic container . Quite spicy! Great flavor. Not like what they serve at the restaurant. One container is a LOT of salsa if only use it occasionally.
