TOMY John Deere Die-Cast Farm Toy 70-Piece Value Playset with Machine Shed, Tractors, Trucks, Implements, and Farm Animals

I was a bit hesitant to buy this after reading some reviews on how poor the quality was, but my four-year-old had his heart set on it. Honestly, the quality is really pretty good for the price (10 vehicles, a shed, livestock, and fencing for $30 is less than $3/item). The shed is by far the cheapest piece -- it's all plastic and very flimsy -- but it stays together just fine. All of the vehicles are mixed plastic and metal. My son has been playing with it non-stop for a week straight with no complaints. Very glad I took a chance and bought it. It may not be as high quality as individual, larger diecast metal toys, but I would definitely recommend it for a gift or a starter set.

The farm vehicles are made of really good material, it's not the flimsy plastic you usually have on farm vehicles. My son loves it. The animals are nice and look like the real ones, they are also made out of good material. The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the barn, the roof is not sturdy and can fall apart when taking it off. The same goes for the sliding barn doors, but it's not a big deal.I'd recommend this set, my son got it for his 5th birthday and really loves it. Great value for the price.

Lots of farm pieces at a reasonable price.

I bought this for my son for his birthday since he's a big fan of construction and farm trucks. This set is nice but I honestly think this should cost $30 instead of $42. Luckily I bought it during prime days,lol. My son still loves it and likes how it has a bunch of tractors etc. My son was disappointed that the horses do not fit in in the trailer and while the cows fit, it's kinda tight and hard to get them out. The building itself is neat and it assembled Fair easily. The only drawbacks I found was while the front and sides snap together fairly easily as well as the roof section,but when it came down to putting the roof onto the building,it does not snap together even though it's all slotted to go together,it does not. Since there are no cross braces on the building,it flexes so it's hard to line up everything. As for the doors,the part that is supposed to hold the doors on,pops off very easily that I had to glue it on. I was disappointed with these flaws especially since it's made by ertl. Overall its an ok set but I think I would've been more annoyed if I paid full price for this set but my son is happy and likes it so that's all that matters to me.

Tractor are worth it. The building is a big piece of junk, it dont stay together what so ever! Falls apart the minute you touch it and start playing with it. I did read the reviews prior to buying and seen this was an issue but bought it for all the tractors.

Hours of fun! Our son loves farm toys. This continues to provide hours of fun for him. We are pleased with the quality of the product.

Mostly as expected.. it’s like most TOMY/ERTL toys if you have any experience with them. If not don’t expect anything great. I’ll start on the barn. The pieces press together but don’t fit perfectly. The structure stands but it will pull apart if you move it around much. The doors only hang on a bar that they can slide on but will fall off of pretty easily. This would be good for a child old enough to re assemble on their own but I would not suggest it for young children. Maybe a 6 year old.. my 5 year old gets a bit frustrated with the doors but is ok with the rest. The tractors are metal frame and plastic body. The trucks are mostly plastic. The handles on the 4wheeler are bendy rubbery so they don’t break too easily. The fence snaps together alright and stays upright if it’s in a good shape like a square or circle but won’t stand as individual panels on their own. The cows and horses do not fit in the trailer unless you leave the cows head sticking out. We got the set for decorating a cake and it worked out well. The set will work well for something to take when we travel because it is very small and otherwise it will probably be yard toys. Nothing fancy but serves it’s purpose. They are very tiny so I would not suggest this for small children without supervision. My two year old can wrap his hand around a cow and cover it head tail and legs. Good travel set for an older child because it breaks down and I think it could all fit in something about the size of a lunchbox.

We bought this for our 4 year old grandson who enjoys playing with his farm toys. He loved it! The only thing we didn’t like was the roof came in sections too and easily came apart. We glued the sections and problem solved; if he wants to access the toys inside, he simply lifts off the entire roof.
