Beautiful. My 4 and 8 year old grands had so much fun with jewels sprinkled everywhere!

The only way I can think to improve this is if instead of one side having a shiny silver coating, there was a thin layer of it *in the middle* of each gem. That way both sides would be colorful, and light would still reflect the shiny part. Doesn't take away from the rating, it's a great price for the variety of jewels.

My granddaughters have fairy gardens here at our ranch. Each time they come to visit, they run to their gardens to see if the fairies have left them anything. In the past the gifts included things like fancy marbles, coins, fools gold, etc. I bought some of these jewels and helped the fairies put seven or eight into each of the little gardens. The squealing I heard when the girls found them made it worth the effort. These are really colorful and definitely the right size and price.

I did treasure boxes this year for the younger grandchildren, and they just love these. It’s perfect. The colors were perfect. The size was perfect. I would say not for children under the age of three.

These can not be used as pirate gems. These are more like craft gems. They have a very nice shine and the size is OK for crafting, but not pirate treasure.

DIY project - perfect touch

I bought these to hide around the garden for my 3 and 5 year old nieces to find. They think that the fairies that live in the backyard leave them around, and absolutely love hunting "treasure." I'm sure they have other uses, but they work great for my purposes.
