Works well for the money. Little tricky getting it connected first time.
I had difficulty getting the camera's wifi working the first time. After I figured out the correct procedure it works easily. Procedure I use: power up the camera, wait for its wifi to power up, with you phone or tablet connect to the wifi using the phones wifi settings, once connection is established and stable then and only then open the app. Also the pro app does not work for me, the basic app does. Also the "Bullseye Target Manager" app from GSM works with this camera!

OK when it works, but rarely works, but not worth it unless you really enjoy things not working
Bought in early 2022. App crashes 95% of the time on start up. If I reboot my Android slate, connect to SME Spot Shot WIFI and record a video...I get one recording before it crashes. I can repeat over and over, basically means reboot and wait minutes between shots and hope it works. When it does capture an image, resolution and refresh rate is pretty horrible. At 300-500 yds it's difficult to impossible to spot shots even when image is fairly clear and up close. Existing bullet holes appear and disappear in front of your eyes because of the horrible resolution and refresh rate. The only problem I don't have is that I can connect to the SME Spot Shot's WiFI without fail. But it's almost unusable. I would not recommend buying this product. But I hope SME fixes it...it has so much possible potential.Update (1/16/23): It never works now. Unusable. Software crashes on launch over and over. Vendor is unresponsive and is hasn't updated software in years.

Great product
The media could not be loaded. Overall, this is a great product and works very well for long range. This is with the unit attached to my bushnell spotting scope, which I’d like to clarify so no one thinks this was on a $1000+ spotting scope, rather a budget friendly scope. In the attached video, the first target which were the swinging targets was at 220 yards. Second target ( circle with white center next to the bear) was at 550yds. The last target was a walking bear at 870 yards. The last clip was screen recorded with the app open, rather than video record with the app, so that way I could have sound. For all of these clips, my scope was at 20 magnification, and any shakiness was from the wind that came in. Threes and I only gave four stars, rather than five was because the field of view decreases with the attachment which sucks for sub 200 yards if your target area is large, but if you’re shooting a zeroing target, or shooting long range, this is perfect. The second reason for 4 stars is because this unit doesn’t record video with sound. If you’re only planning on using this for spotting shots or seeing groupings, then it’ll be great. But if you want to have sound for your long shots you want videos of, I’d suggest screen recording with your phones microphone on.

Nice Camera For Spotting Scope!
This camera works exactly as advertised. It’s easy to set up, and the clarity is great. I only wish I had gotten the version with the small screen so I could use that to get it set up. It’s not difficult, but would have been a bit simpler.

OK for the price
Don’t expect too much, but it works as well as can be expected for the price; better than most cell phone mounts. The app is a bit clumsy but usable. The instruction sheet is abysmal and doesn’t even include charging instructions; good luck figuring it out.

DO NOT BUY - DOES NOT WORK
In spite of reading reviews with problems, I figured that surely after 2 years the product had been fixed.Wrong. I turned the camera on, and then connected to its built-in WiFi network with my phone. When you launch the app, the app crashes immediately if your phone is connected to the camera's WiFi. The phone will only stay connected to the camera's WiFi for about 60 seconds. Then it reverts back to my home network. If you launch the app then, it doesn't crash, but then it can't connect to the camera, either, of course.I called GSM at the tech support number given. Sat on hold for 30 minutes and was transferred to another help line. Sat on hold there for 30 minutes to be told that was the wrong line and I needed to call the number I called to start with. They transferred me back and I sat on hold there for another 20 minutes. Total time on the phone was an hour and twenty minutes with only about 5 minutes actually talking to a person trying to solve the problem. Finally talked to a person and all they could tell me is that they have not updated their app. I asked, "Ever?" and she said she didn't know. I said, "Well, right now this product does not work. According to Amazon review, it has not worked for 2 years. When should I expect a fix?" She said, "I don't know, maybe a couple of weeks." Given how long it has been broken, I'm skeptical it will be fixed in "a couple of weeks".So, this product is completely non-functional out of the box. I tried it with both Apple and Android devices. It's a darn shame, because for the price point this is exactly the product I am looking for to enable seeing through my spotting scope without having to get up and look through it.I will be returning it. I'm very disappointed.

works pretty well
I've only tried this on a Burris 20-60x scope, I have other spotting scopes so maybe I'll verify compatibility across multiple scopes soon. I tracked the cat in the yard from my upper deck, from 30 - 70 yards. You will focus the scope as normal as if the camera is not attached. The sturdiness of your tripod has the same effect with or without the camera--sloppier, more difficulty getting aimed in. I will probably look at a Traversing and Elevating mechanism. Only missing element I could see was it does not seem to record sound, which would be good to identify what range and ammo you were currently shooting. Your image is as good as your scope, adjusting the focus and magnification is independent of the camera, and the video image is about as good as the scope. Not bad for very little money. Anxious to try it at the range at real distances (300-800 yds). As usual, I have no idea what the "Rate features" of "Sheerness" and "Warmth" are supposed to mean, so I left these blank.
