frustrating
I had to write a review for this game as it is a big pile of frustrating ..I though hmmm..its made buy the peeps who made tekken its bound to be good..but no they have shamed themselves here..the screen shots totally miss lead it to be something bigger and better than what it is.and another thing the game has no point to it..the story consists of jack s. and the character you HAVE to use "Brad" couldn't be much lamer.if your interested in a product like this buy a mega drive and get streets of rage..now theres a game that kicked ass.

Sluggish unresponsive Controls
My god, this is the worst beat-ump game i have played so far. The game Graphics are great and so is the sound. But thats it, the rest falls apart in a complete mess. From sluggish, unresponsive controls, to the Poor design glitch fest of the levels. There are constant glitches and pop ups every level. The levels arn't big and feel more like open arena tekken game. The game story sucks and in each level, you will be fighting against the same charcters, with a maximum of like 3 people per level. The Moves are so repetitive and so are the levels. Whats worse, is that the fighting seems sluggish and unrealistic as the WWF wresteling on TV. Everytime you get hit and crash in the wall, you will bounce back as if your in a boxing ring.Overal, just stay away from this game! It clearly was rushed and is not worth your time or money.

Probably the best beat em up ever
This is without a doubt the most impressive beat 'em up i've ever played (yes even compared to the great tekken and soul calibur) it takes the fighting from the two previous games to the next level, with fully 3D arenas to battle in, 30 weapons to choose from and 60 fighters (including law and paul from tekken). The single player story mode may be difficult and a bit repetitive playing as main character Brad but once its completed the fun really begins. With 60 characters to choose from and up to 4 characters battling at once (4 players via multitap)its endless hours of bone crunching fun, with often devastating and hilariously over the top moves to be pulled off.Its often over looked in favour of tekken and soul calibur but it shouldn't be as its better than both of them, also makes a great alternative to those two when you get bored of them. Beat 'em up and martial arts fans should love this, if you're either then i'd give it a try.

Better than Tekken and Soul Calibur put together
I can honestly say that this is the best beat 'em up I have ever played. Unlike most other fighters (Tekken, Soul Calibur...) it's more than just two people facing each other on the screen exchanging blows- the fights take place in various arenas which you can move freely around, allowing you to take on many enemies at once. You can also choose to pick up a weapon (certain characters have a special fighting style with certain weapons), and you can interact with the arena (run up walls and somersault onto enemies, slam enemies onto cars etc.). Instead of bashing buttons there are great ways to outsmart your enemy e.g. catch weapons thrown at you and throw them back, suplex enemies from the air when they jump at you, and reverse their moves in lots of cool ways. A great feature of the fighting system is the double team moves with your partner, which are easy to do, and most of them made me laugh out loud on seeing them for the first time because they are so over-the-top.The main mode is like Tekken in the sense that you fight in rounds, except you can save the game at any time you want between rounds and the game last much longer than Tekken, which you virtually complete after 20 minutes or less. You start off playing the story mode as a 'real man' called Brad Hawk (with some fantastic moves), then later start fighting with a partner (a variety of main story characters), who you can also choose to play as. Although I found some of the later levels really hard, it was still possible and I was determined to win because it was such an entertaining game. You unlock an amazing amount of characters, each with their own individual moveset. Multiplayer mode rules, and even my friends who don't like fighting games love to play Urban Reign.People on Amazon seem to have mixed views about it, but I can promise you that it kicks ass and it's sold for a low, low price in many places, so you have very little to lose. I bought it for £9.99 even though it's easily worth full price, and I would happily give Tekken and Soul Calibur away because I don't need them anymore :-D.
