Lightweight Outdoor Camping Stove - Foldable Gas Stove for Cookout and Backpacking

I hooked this stove up at home and checked it out. The flame is excellent; broad and infinitely adjustable. I will be able to cook the best scrambled eggs with this thing. My stove leaked gas at first. I could smell it and checked the weight loss overnight...4 grams in about 10 hours. I was about to send it back but decided to try a little silicone grease. I coated the top and bottom of the large rubber gasket, hooked it back up and let it set all day. No weight loss in 12 hrs and no gas smell. If you don't have silicone grease, I bet any grease or even a bit of oil would help make a better seal. The stove feels kinda flimsy but it's super lightweight, compact and the flame is better than some of those more expensive stoves. I got a jetboil for christmas a couple of years ago. Total junk for cooking anything but water. The flame is far to concentrated and there's no adjust-ability; it's either on full blast or completely off. For $12 this is an amazing bargain and it works with very common and easily obtainable fuel.

I was excited to find this online, because I recognized it from the case as the one my backpacking friend got years ago and still uses on our trips. I decided to get one for myself. It is really light and convenient. I never have trouble lighting it, and it is a really simple design, with little to go wrong. Just used it on a road trip across most of the country, and it burns well and boils water fast. It also seems to use the fuel really efficiently, because my canisters seemed to last a really long time. Not much else to say-it's cheap, and it works perfectly and reliably.

In attempting to straighten them the tiny spot weld failed and the two pieces fell apart. To fix this i simply have a welder and was able to weld that puppy up super strong while i was fixing that I also drilled extra holes in the top of the burner so there is extra flame and the flame gets directly under small cups as well. These catch flame, stay lit, and work great.

Got this stove for my elk hunting in Colorado. It does a great job with an adapter for the1 lb. propane bottles. Provides a wide, strong flame that may also be reduced to a slow simmer.What more could you want but a good price and this stove has that as well. Get this camp stove,you won't be sorry.

I do a lot of deep forrest backpacking. The reviewers stating that this is a high quality stove do not know what they are talking about. The only section that could be considered "quality' is the section that connects to the fuel can. The top section that supports the pot/pan above the flame is flimsy and poorly made. Only 3 of the 4 feet make contact with the pan. and the top section sits on a spring that is wobbly and shifty and never level. Would not recommend, sorry. Probably gonna return it.Update: Apparently this item is non-returnable. Probably because they know a certain percentage of people will be disappointed and want to return it. I'm changing my review from 2 stars to 1 now. I highly recommend that you DO NOT PURCHASE this item. By doing so you r next purchase of a quality made burner will cost you that much more.

I love this burner. Ive had so many others that were more expensive and they were trash. Pouch fits a lighter and is pretty compact. Ive tested and used this burner once a week for the last 10 months and havent had one single issue. Not the fastest boil but has been through the ringer amd still going like the day i bought it. Boils 16oz of water in about 3 mins on highest setting. Would definitely buy again.

If you have convinced yourself that you're an elitist, and must spend 3-4 times, or more, the cost of this little stove, read no further. If you're looking for a very well made, easy to light, boil water to frying an egg stove, this is it. I wanted this design due to its' broad flame base. The smaller surface on some others, boils water no problem, but for cooking, will create a hot spot. This has wide pot flanges, making it very easy to prepare food in a "normal" size skillet or pot. I fried eggs in a 8" skillet, and there is more than enough room for it. This stove has a small simmer flame, and I have read, although I haven't tried it, other's have prepared rice with it. No,it does not have a piezo electronic ignition. I fail to understand why this is such a big deal to some, unless the basic concept of starting a fire with a bic lighter is beyond them. I weighed the stove with fuel canister, then let it set overnight. Re-weighing it the following morning showed no leakage. One reviewer stated his had some leakage, but after applying silicone to the rubber gasket, the leak stopped. Comes with a very well made case, with one drawback. It would have been nice if there had been some padding added, but can't see this as a big deal, since it will be in my pack. Happy trails!

This burner does take up a little more room than some of the ones that fold up more and have a more centralized flame. However, it's not larger by much or heavier.What I like about it over the smaller ones is that the flame comes out more like a regular stovetop burner, so it is much better for using with a pan to cook rather than just boiling water.My wife purchased one of the smaller ones and we used each of them to cook some steaks in pans on a primitive camping trip. In comparison, the smaller one wasn't as good at holding the pan and didn't do as well at distributing the heat, since the flame is condensed at the center. Mine performed just as well for boiling water with a nested camping pot set, so there isn't really an advantage to the smaller ones.In conclusion, I would say that this is the better of styles for ultralight burners. Especially in the case that you want to do more traditional cooking with it and not just boiling water...which it also does quite well.
