Reptisun 5.0 Uvb Mini Compact Fluorescent (Pack of 2)

These are perfect for my snakes, I have them set up on a timed power strip and they always flip on in the morning. I’ve only had to replace one in the past year so I’d say it’s a good quality bulb. My snakes like them and sit under them in the day so no complaints on functionality and quality. The price is reasonable compared to other sellers and fit perfectly in my dome lamp.

I have been using these bulbs since 2019 for my chameleons and I can’t really complain. When they were babies, the enclosures were much smaller and I started out with smaller deep dome and used the smaller size mini 13 watt. It worked great. I switched out the bulb every 6 months and after a year I eventually switched to the 5.0 26 watt when I got a larger cage and deep dome. There is a place on the bulb to record the date of first use, which is especially helpful if you have multiple companions. Timing can get confusing when the replacement dates vary. In 4 years, over 7 bulbs, I have only had an issue with one burnout. You may think 1/7 isn’t great but I am pretty happy over all. The company even sent me out a replacement for the one that blew out, free of charge, which is stellar customer service. I absolutely recommend this brand for your reptilian uvb needs.

Mini bulb for the mini lamp to keep my gecko warm at night even when it’s supposed to be “cool” . Keeps a smaller area warm which is perfect for night time. I keep my setup on a timer and thermostat and this small one gives me reassurance he’s not going to be too hot at night when the thermostat kicks on, because it’s a smaller lamp.

This item was a direct replacement for our old one and it came as a two pack.

Best thing is the bulb didn’t arrive broken like many of their others products have in the past. The light lasts a very long time as it’s supposed to be changed out every 6-8 months . My turtle has no problem eating and shell so hard it’s die for.

Coil UVBs are NOT good. These bulbs? Great. Even better if you can get the linear bulbs also by Zoomed that go across the entire enclosure. But these will do great if you’re on a budget or have a small setup. Have used these for my two crested geckos, one is 20g and one is 5g, both use the same bulbs (different wattage, though) for each of their tanks. Plan to upgrade to the T5/T8 lights when I’ve got the expendable money but I’ve had no issues so far. Doesn’t get hot, no health concerns for the geckos, great price point, lasts a long time. Solid bulbs! Not much else to say, I recommend these to anyone needing a UVB for a reptile!

Been using these as my go-to UVB lights for years on and off whenever I'm keeping reptiles and never had any issues with them and my pets are happy and healthy. Nice to get them at a better price here on Amazon as the LPSs charge an arm and a leg. I do wish they'd get around to making these that did the UVA/UVB plus added full spectrum, but perhaps there's something that makes that difficult or expensive. Anyway as far as UVB lights go I've always been happy with these.

Doesn't heat the tank very much (20 gallon tall). So far it has lasted 3 months. Definitely something I would recommend for smaller tanks that need uvb!
