This lighter is darn near perfect! I am primarily using it to melt ends of paracord projects, so I wanted a small reliable single pinpoint jet style flame that I could control easily with one hand. It is all that plus it’s stylish to boot. It comes in its own little padded gift box so it is well protected during shipping, plus I felt like I had just gotten a present! Win-win. It also comes with an instruction booklet that you should absolutely read before using. Most problems I’ve read in other reviews can be completely avoided by reading the directions. I had zero trouble filling it with Ronson Butane Fuel and it has a little viewing window that allows you to see how much fluid is in there. It is a small tank but it’s lasting longer than I expected. The flame is adjustable by using a small screwdriver on the bottom. They recommend that you not set it at its farthest extremes or it won’t work as well. I tested setting it almost to the shortest flame possible and found it would take 2 or 3 tries to light. Just a tiny bit higher and it lights first try every time. It also has a cigar thingy that doesn’t mean anything to me, but I took a pic of it in case someone else here cares. Last, but not least, it has a locking mechanism that allows you keep the flame lit hands free. Make sure you carefully place it upright and keep a sharp eye on it. It does stand nicely, but it will not automatically shut off if it tips over. Also, it does not lock anything when the lighter is off, so it does not have a safety lock at all. As with all lighters, make sure to keep out of reach of kids. And probably some adults too. Just saying.

At the time of this writing I am the first reviewer. Item was delivered quickly.My initial impression is that it is solidly built. After first fill-up, with quality butane, it works impressively well. It shoots a generous single jet and lights first time, every time. It is relatively "beefy" and about the size of a roll of quarters.I have been burned by several butane torches. (Pun intended. :-| ) They always seem to work amazingly well at first, but steadily degrade over time. I WILL update this review periodically, or if something newsworthy happens.UPDATE Jan. 2021: Over a year and this butane lighter is still going strong! Because of an unusual hobby (incense aficionado) I use this lighter on the order of 25 times per day - maybe more. There are a few things I have done, and that I regularly do, that have probably influenced this good performance.-- I have made a very minor modification to the flame adjustment so it goes a tiny fraction higher. This ensures a flame that is slightly stronger, and more reliably lighting. There are YouTube videos that show how to make this modification very easily.-- I bleed off excess air in the butane tank each time I refill the lighter. There are special tools just for this purpose, but you can use a jeweler's screwdriver if you're very careful. Don't damage the valve.-- I use good quality, very clean, butane.I am obviously very pleased with this lighter. With just a little care of this product I believe you will be too. I have absolutely no association to this item, nor its sale. Just a satisfied customer. I would take the same steps with any butane lighter I have.

Worse torch ever. Used it less then a week and already doesn't work anymore. And in tho's days barely even used it

Second one of these I have had. The first one I bought elsewhere and it lasted over a year before the ignitor stopped working. I was thrilled to find this on Amazon.However it quit working too, only within the first 2 weeks of using it. Its pretty, but I suggest trying a different one rather than this one.

I collect lighters and have been on a quest for the perfect lighter, and this one is in contention, depending on how long it will last. I've bought plenty of lighters that were duds right out of the package and others that only lasted and short time. This one is the perfect size and the trigger is smooth, effortless and quieter than most lighters. It will be my new favorite until it stops working. I already bought a couple more to give as gifts. Highly recommend this lighter. I received it in just a few days. Very reputable seller.

Works will until the ignitor stopped sparking.

Absolutely amazing little torch. Super reliable. Very simple and easy to use. Refilling is kind of a pain because I haven't found a butane tip that doesn't make it spray all over your hand when you refill but not too wasteful still and definitely stores a good amount for the little thing. Double tank helps with that. Also it cranks. The flame is very good size. Gotta learn how to adjust but not too difficult.

Sadly the ignitor started failing after a few months and now it's practically unusable. Very disappointed, guess you can call it a 8 month disposable lighter.
