Creative Haven Arabesque Designs Coloring Book (Adult Coloring Books: World & Travel)

Great Coloring Book
I used this product to color in as an adult for fun. I like that many or all of the pages can be colored using only two colors without any of the same color touching another space of the same color. They only touch on corners. I have only colored two of the pages so far, but I found them enjoyable. As with all Creative Haven books, pictures are printed on one side only, and I think the paper quality is good. I use markers with no problems. There are 31 images as with all Creative Haven books.

wonderful geometric designs- great for those who like coloring mandalas
These are great Alhambra designs (the original title of this book was Alhambra Designs Coloring Book) inspired by the tile mosaics of Granda, Spain. This book consists of 31 geometric patterns - rectangles, stars, triangles, etc- on single sided pages. I tend to be drawn to coloring books with repeating patterns in each design- it's easier to zone out and enjoy coloring when you don't have to make too many decisions (ie what color to put where). The great thing about these particular designs is you can choose a set color palette for the entire design or radiate color outward or switch it up, and because of the repeating geometric shapes in each one, the finished piece always looks good, no matter what colors you use.The paper isn't great (I scan my coloring books and print them out on my Epson on watercolor paper with Epson archival ink-jet inks) but it's decent enough for colored pencils or markers that don't bleed. The designs are fairly intricate, so this book isn't great for markers with a thicker nib or large paintbrushes. But it's perfect for pencils, watercolors pencils, and smaller waterbrushes.I highly recommend this book, especially for those who like mandalas or designs with repeating geometrics.

Tedious tiny details.
I was disappointed. Many of the pages had very tiny design details. I bought this as a gift for my mom who enjoys coloring but knew that the book would not appeal to her after I saw it. If you like repetitive designs with tiny details you might enjoy this otherwise it would get very tedious to color.

INTRICATE
31 geometrical designs by Nick Crossling inspired by the Moorish built Alhambra Palace, Granada, Spain. These are intricate but not tiny. It takes me a while to pick out individual designs and plan colour schemes; but, I'm really enjoying this book. As usual with Creative Haven, the pages are single-sided and perforated.

Great desings
Designs are great, paper is funny. I tried every colored pencil set I have and it's still weird, kind of like the paper is oiled and slick. Sorry, I love the patterns, maybe I'll try pens?

Something "Real" from Spain.
Just love coloring these designs. Clever of Nick Crossling to incorporate the Artistry of Spain. I like that feeling.

parfait
beaucoup de dessins différents et pourtant si semblables, très amusant de faire des dessins ressemblants mais en même tant si différents, juste en changeant les couleurs ou en les intervertissant.
