Awesome quality rope, super soft, easy to work with for macrame!
I decided to make my niece a macrame wall hanging for Christmas & given I had never done macrame before I watched a few videos & bought this rope based on reviews & that it had a booklet for knotting with it. I bought 2 rolls but ended up ordering a 3rd as it took that much to complete the 5.5x5ft hanging I created I had just enough to make her so ce macrame feathers for her birthday to go on it. I was quite happy with my.piece esp since it was my very 1st time attempting the craft. I found it to be quite therapeutic and fun as I learned most of the different knots were actually larger versions of the friendship bracelets I used to make as a tween with floss type thread (given that was 35 years ago I was amazed at how easily the art came back to me. Esp since I was his by a drunk driver & suffered a massive brain injury & internal organ damage causing me to be disabled when I was just 25). So give. My afore mentioned disability and the difficulty I suffer in a daily basis it took me a very long time to finish my pice I started back at thanksgiving because I was unable to eat or be in crowds due to my injuries I stayed home and began her piece. I finished literally 8 hours prior to her arrival for our gift exchange we kep it low key with only I’m ediate fami”u due to my not being able to know what’s going on if there is background noise or more than 1 convo going on so we ate (My mama fused me a small amount of what I could eat & we exchanged gifts after) the wall hanging was loved by all but esp by my niece as I had used a branch from the pines her grandpa had planted when we they bought the farm (he passed away a couple years ago)& left it looking rugged but polyurethaned the wood to preserve it which brought out the amazing color to the branch, then using 3 rolls of this I created a very good wall hanging I didn’t really have a set pattern just an idea or 2. The rope was very soft and I had only 2 sections to be broken on 1 spool out of all 3 spooks so I found that to be very amazing givien the reviews to the contrary plus I got the largest amount 220yds I think it was per spool and it took all of it to finish! So glad for 2nd day delivery thank you Amazon for saving my gift @ Christmas!!, bc I had only ordered 2 rolls to start thinking it was enough, you to the XKDOUS Co for such quality rope it all matched in color also super it’s easy to comb to fringe for feathers using a dog or horse curry combwhich makes it super fast! Now I’m back to order more to do a piece for my mama’s nEw master bedroom suite reno! Just waiting in the contractor to finish the fireplace so she can see the color and size she wants but I’ll definitely be using this company and highly recommend d it to y’all as well! Super nice strong quality cotton rope I got the exact size and amount listed and while I didn’t use the booklet much as I had viewed several YouTube videos I did find it was quite correct and easy to view the different knitting techniques I did use it to determine how to do the opposite or mirror image of the same knot on one section. Also would say no matter what you are estimating for your piece it never hurts to order atleast 100 yds extra just in case of emergency! (I know it’s not a gorgeous piece but it was my first attempt at macrame ever!)

Used for sewing/piping
I used this for piping when I sew handbags. Works great. Also holds my screen door open, entertains my toddler, my dogs favorite toy, easy to pull out of the vacuum when you accidentally suck it up,….

A little more yellow than others
This cotton cord did the trick, I had been working with NOANTA natural color cord but ran out, then tried to use this but its quite a bit yellower than the other brand. I personally like the less yellow color a bit better but honestly once I did the whole thing with this cord, it looked great. Totally did the job and my project turned out great! It seemed a little thinner than the other brand too but that may have been in my mind, hard to say. I would probably try a different color with this brand if it was substantially cheaper than noanta, or had a certain color I needed and couldn’t find, but otherwise I wouldn’t buy the beige/natural off white color again. But like I said it did the trick and came out really nice. :) theforestandcove.etsy.com uses a lot of cotton cord so I’ll still keep this in my back pocket if I’m in need. :)

Beginning macrame purchase, good quality
I'm new to macrame, so I'm sure an expert has tried lots of different cord, but as a beginner, I thought this was nice quality. It was that perfect neutral color, felt soft to the touch so it was easy to work with, and it separated and combed out well for the ends. I ordered the 3mm, which I think was just right. It wasn't too bulky and wasn't too small, I have worked with smaller and it takes a lot more and the design doesn't pop as much. I have reordered this a couple times, so I am a return customer. One CON of note, and this is just an ease of access preference, but since I don't have a fancy set up yet, I just set the spool on the floor and unwind from there. I ordered some color cord from a different seller and their spools don't have the carboard tops and bottoms like this one does, they are just wrapped around a tube. I actually found that I preferred that style because it was easier to unwind the cord when the spool is set on end on the floor. Otherwise, with this spool design, once you have started to use some, you have to wrangle it around the cardboard top instead of just pulling and measuring. Not a major set back, or reflective on the quality of the cord itself, but a preference in ease all the same depending on your setup.

Good value for money
I think this is a good purchase especially if you are starting out in macrame. I had purchased a black roll and a white roll. Both of them came in and I made two quick medium sized pieces with them and still have plenty left over to do at least two more medium projects or one large project. The quality of the materials themselves was absolutely wonderful, the black roll was dyed perfectly and very opaque. Both of them were very very soft. The only issue I had with these was when I was actually making my knots. While making the knots the ends frayed slightly. I was used to using a very tightly twisted rope before trying this product out. A quick fix is to add a little masking or painters tape around the edges for the rope to help stop the fraying. This type of cord also makes beautiful tassels, it really separates well. Id say that if you're concerned with wether or not this product is worth the money to just buy it. I had previously bought some from hobby lobby to do a very large piece. I paid a little over the amount of money for two rolls of this, for multiple spoils of broken cord. I also in total ended up with almost double if not more feet of cord from this product than the stuff I got from hobby lobby.
