Looks like it should be stronger than the brass one I've used in the past.

I installed this drain plug into the 7/8" ID drain tube in the below-deck ski locker on my boat to isolate it from the bilge, and it fit perfectly. I was concerned about what size to buy after reading a bunch of reviews, but this plug will fit into a minimum 7/8" hole, and will also work well in a 1" hole. If you're going to be removing it often you might be better off with one that has a flip style latch, but for a location were it's only removed periodically this will work fine. Quality seem great, and I don't anticipate any issues with corrosion other than what you'd normally expect in a saltwater environment.
