OK shaver. Not especially as comfortable or closer shaves than other shavers I’ve had. I realize I should have spent more money to buy another Braun. The one star is it simply quit working, won’t take a charge, after six months. Warranty does not replace the product. Panasonic will only do a repair. I don’t think this is particularly unusual, but it’s annoying to come up with an alternative in the meantime. I’d probably be less disturbed if I really thought it was a wonderful shaver.

Purchased this shaver as a potential solution to military shaving in the field. Out of the box the shaver came with no charge but once plugged in charged to ~80% in less than an hours time. When dry shaving the shaver did well at removing 5 day (mexican) stubble from the face but failed at completely removing hair from the neck despite multiple pass thrus. Tried again in the shower with Cremo Shave Cream and still couldn't get the hair on neck shaved. Despite ~15 minutes of shaving had to clean up the neck using the trusty Merkur Futur Adjustable Safety Razor. It's a return for me but I could see this shaver working for people with coarser hair.

Poor Battery life, lasted for 3.5 months, they must have issues with their products as they make it impossible to send in for repair and you pay to Shipping to them, so another 35.00 to send to them insured. Fly by night company now, not in the past... stay away from this company now... Shave is on the better side, support sucks to get repair. If you need this product exactly, buy 3-5 of them to keep them up and running. Had to buy two, because only get about 9-11 shaves and then battery is too low. Shave is closest for about 6-8 months and then heads need to be replaced. So from the start only get 9-11 shaves, now you get 7-9 shaves with a charge and now even after shave you need to either do the Norelco to cut the balance of the stubble, or just live with it. Next, it shaves well for two or three months and then it shaves Poorly. Cost 64.99 for new blades, so good luck…

I am happy with this razer. It seems to do a good job shaving. I do not have a thick beard and even though it sometimes misses a little overall it is an excellent razer. It was a bit expensive. I took off a star because unless you are careful it does not shave all beard. After 6 months I changed my view on this razor. Do not buy it. It leaves a lot of beard uncut and I have tried everything. It is the worse electric razor I have used.

This shaver shaves fine and initially worked as I expected. But after 6 months the battery life started degrading rapidly. After 10 months I can only complete 1-1/2 shaves before the battery runs out. It shows a high charge level remaining after one shave (80-100%) but rapidly drops to zero if I try to get a second shave before recharging. I wrote customer support and received a form letter back telling me I wasn’t using it right. I want a replacement battery. I never had this problem with my Norelco shavers but wanted to try Panasonic for hopefully a closer shave. I did not expect such terrible battery life.

Great shaver, but the replacement blades are almost the same price as the shaver. Kind of like how a printer makes its money off of cartridges, Panasonic makes its money off of replacement blades. Shame.

I have only used this thing a few times under different conditions. 1. Under grizzly unshaven for a month conditions it barely did anything. Literally I felt like it didn't do anything. 2. A week later after swapping back to a normal razer reshaved with this with a light stubble to see if it worked better under those conditions and I got several cuts and an very uneven shave. I feel like I wasted my money here and regret buying this thing as It sounded like such a good investment but sadly it doesn't offer any convenience over a normal razer as I feel like it take more time to shave, it is a less clean shave, cost like 10x more than a regular razor, and I end up with a more cut up face. I will give it the fact that it is portable and easy to clean though.

I had high hopes for the Panasonic Arc 5 given all the positive reviews, but unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to expectations. While it does remove a lot of hair, it consistently leaves patches behind—even after multiple passes. Shaving takes way longer than it should, and I find myself going over the same areas again and again with limited results. I’ve cleaned it thoroughly, even used an air compressor to ensure there’s no clogging, but the issue persists. It seems to struggle especially with flat-lying or softer hairs, and the end result is far from smooth. For a premium-priced shaver, I expected better performance and efficiency. My $20 one blade does better than this razor and this one can’t even use be used for that. Do not suggest

A little noisy due to the power of the shaver but a very good shave.

It's really good machine, i experience different machine on Panasonic was really good but this machine brings you to next level of shaving, highly recommended by me because since more then 15 years im shaving in home and use few types of machine brands, Panasonic and especially this machine is really good.

I have had this shaver since May 2021 and it has been working flawlessly so far. Haven't even replaced the blades or foil in spite of shaving at least 4-5 times/week. I use it only for wet shaves as it gives a closer shave and doesn't irritate my face. Cleaning the blades/foil in a bowl with warm rubbing alcohol and small brush every 6 months helps to get rid of caked on shaving cream/hair while prolonging their life and performance. Best to stretch the skin on the neck with one hand to get a close shave. I get a close shave without ever using a regular blade razor!! Side trimmer is small but works well for me as I use it only for trimming my sideburns. Charging is fast and easy. Travel case is handy and shaver charges anywhere. I have used generations of Panasonic wet/dry shavers for decades and this generation works perfectly for me. The older models didn't do well in the neck or upper lip areas. This razor has been perfect for me!!
