I've ran 100+ feet of speaker wire, ethernet cable, and security camera cable around our house over the past couple months and have solely used these to secure it to the walls, ceiling, etc. You can adjust how hard they grip the wire based on how much you screw it in, which allows you to string up the wire very tight against whatever surface you're mounting to resulting in a nice clean look (vs having a bunch of cable slack and having it hang down)I even used these to hang LED string lights in our screened in porch and our recently built outdoor firepit area. Same principle applies, they give you adjustability to get everything where you want it before you tighten down all the way and lock the wire in place.If you run wire, you can't go wrong!
