Talens Art Creation Sketchbook Black 21x29,7 cm, 140 Grams

I already love it because of how the paper feels... even though I haven't used it yet. I'll update my review when I do! UPDATE: I absolutely love this sketchbook (I got the 21x29). I mostly sketch with graphite and colored pencils, so the thickness slightly rough paper are perfect for me. It also has more pages than I expected, which of course I'm super happy about. 10/10 highly recommend Talens

Perfect. Creamy white. Not blinding. Takes color pencils and ink very well. One of my fav notebooks.

I buy this sketchbook every time I need a new sketchbook its awesome and layfat and you can paint and use markers in it.

I use these sketchbooks as art journals. The paper is smooth, fairly thick, and an attractive creamy off-white. I use fountain pens in them and experience minimal (but not nonexistent) ghosting, bleeding, and feathering. Shimmer and sheen inks do not show up terribly well. They open flat and are pleasant to use.

i love this sketchbook, the paper is really smooth which wasn’t really my cup of tea but i think because it’s also really thick (140 gsm) it doesnt make it as annoying for me. The lines are really crisp when you use this sketchbook. I’ve tried most of my inks, they don’t bleed through. i also tried watercolor and as long as you use 1 layer i think it’s good, it will warp a bit though the more water you put on it but still holds up pretty well! the only thing that bled through was the sharpie marker. tried crayola marker, watercolor, micron fineliners, brushpens etc. great paper! recommend.

Probably even better than moleskine sketchbook. Its affordable and has a nice paper weight. It takes mixed mediums nicely. Would recommend for any artist beginners or pro.

Sidorna är tjocka och olinjerade. Fungerar bra också för vattenfärg. Alltid nöjd med detta märke. Tåliga böcker med tjocka permar. Bra gummiband runt som håller boken stängd.

Love it! I love the switch between smoothe and watercolor paper and the pages are thick with a great feel to them. I have already tried out all kindes of mediums on it, like watercolor, acrylic or markers. Even with a lot of layering, the only thing that had a slight bleed was the markers and they never bled trough to the next page. It's definitely a great finde for the price and quality. I would recommend it to anybody old or young, and It makes a great gift!

My go-to sketch book. Paper is thick enough for drawing-- I rarely use wet mediums in sketchbooks, so I can't give a good appraisal about how this paper will stand it. But my friend does successful, expressionistic ink washes in one and looks like has no issues with buckling, running, or breaking up. The paper is very good to excellent quality and there are a lot of pages. A popular rival does pads with heavier paper, but for my purposes, it was worth the trade-off to switch to these: Also a lot fewer pages due to thickness of rival paper. The bookmark and elastic closure are very useful and practical. I wouldn't go back to pads without them. You can even tuck a pencil under the elastic at the top, so it's always handy when you get sudden ideas. And importantly DURABILITY! The popular in UK rival pad's covers wear out in your bag if you carry your pad everywhere with you (like you should)-- because that product's covers are inferior: the spine falls off... the edges wear out and I end up having to gaffa tape them. These Talens pads have no issues because the covers are superior quality.. Also note, the rival has stiff covers... which is marginally better. Talens has softer, but firm enough covers. Also the thicker pages in the rival don't want to lie flat when you're working... The thinner Talens' pages are much easier to subdue, so they don't keep springing up at you when you're drawing. Great value- practical, durable, a pleasure to work in.

I notebooks Art creation della Talens hanno un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ne possiedo di diverse dimensioni e sono una soluzione molto versatile grazie alla resistenza ed allo spessore della carta ed alla bella tinta avorio. Consigliatissimi per schizzi, prove di diversi materiali, disegni (la matita scorre a meraviglia e così anche la penna stilografica) nonché per tecniche bagnate come la gouache se non si eccede con l'acqua. Adoro il formato 12x12 cm. che è perfetto per fissare rapidamente idee pittoriche da sviluppare poi in formati più grandi. Niente da invidiare a marche più blasonate ma ad un costo nettamente inferiore.
