Best of Al Jarreau

We all have our heroes. As a professional singer, I have been super-inspired by Al Jarreau's vocal instrument, his style, and presentation. In an interview, he was asked if he had any advice for up and coming singers. He simply said, "Do it, because you dig it!" That is the way his songs translate. Just by listening, you can tell that he loves what he's doing.If you can't afford several of his CDs, this is the one you absolutely NEED to own. It is a good mix of ballads, jazz classics, standards, and, of course, his hits that made the airwaves. I have two minor disappointments, "Blue Rhondo ala Turk" wasn't included with "Take Five", as his tribute to Dave Brubeck. Also, I didn't like how the beginning of "Since I Fell for You" was chopped off. If you want to hear the unedited version, you'll also have to pick up Bob James and David Sanborn's, "Double Vision" CD. Al sings just that one song on it, but the CD is also a classic, you should own.

Great cd, one for you collection!

I met Molly last December 3rd. A few days later, we went to a Thrift Store. She asked me what CD I wanted. I told her, just pick the best for us. She selected Best of Al Jarreau. After we climbed back into my Volvo XC70, she asked me if she could play a specific song by Al. I suggested that she go for it, so she did. She inserted the CD and played "After All" by Al Jarreau. It is such a beautiful romantic song.

I had always liked AL Jarreau's music and new that I could find a great deal on Amazon as supposed to eBay. I love to shop Amazon.com since I find items that I just can't find in other stores. I enjoy this CD & it's everything I hoped it would be and I'm very thankful for the seller to have made such a reasonable price and promptly send this to me! Thanks to seller & Amazon.com!

A great singer.

There have been many collections of Al Jarreau's work over the years, but this album is a showcase to his genius. It's so good, that I bought another copy for a friend. It's difficult to pick a stand out track, but Al's version of Elton John's 'Your Song' is a work of art. Wherever you are Al, thankyou.

Great CD Al jarreau music is really good and I am not just saying that

Achtung, hier werden drei verschiedene CDs unter der selben Artikelbeschreibung angeboten. Wer die CD mit dem Titel "Jarreau" will, muss "streamen" oder "mp3" wählen. Unter "Audio-CD" bekommt ihr eine andere Scheibe, und zwar die "Best of" mit anderen Titeln. Und unter "Vinyl" gibt es dann nochmals eine andere: "Breakin'away".Das scheint ein Fehler von amazon zu sein.Ich hab die falsche "Best of" dann als Audio-CD gekauft. Auch nicht schlecht, aber nicht die, die ich wollte: "Jarreau".Den Fehler habe ich amazon mit dem Link: "falsche Produktionformation melden" gemeldet, aber nach einigen Tage ist hier noch nix passiert und es stehen immer noch die falschen und irreführenden Angaben im Netz.

In questi tempi, essere puntuali nella consegna diventa quasi una "mission impossible"; ebbene Amazon ci riesce!Prodotto integro e pienamente aderente alle mie aspettative.

Obwohl ich die CD "gebraucht" gekauft habe, ist gar nichts dran zu bemängeln!!! Alles Bestens und schnell geliefert. Gerne wieder.
