these blocks are well made and easy to use for my crafts. I like making small, encouraging signs with these. “welcome” “Chose Kindness”, etc. They stand up on their side well, and fit nicely on a desk, counter or windowsill. The blocks accept paintt well, and are smooth enough to paint words on. you could also use these blocks under furniture legs to increase height, if necessary.

Although the title says unfinished, the blocks I received had a smooth finish and I was very pleased with the quality of the blocks.

Pay attention this isn't real unfinished wood. A veneer on one side, the rest looks like something that isn't wood. Not exactly what I was expecting.

When I ordered, I didn't realize these were solid MDF, not cradle-board-type construction. However, they took the mixed media, adhesive and acrylic paint well. Because they are solid the hanging wire sticks our more than I would like, but that's my fault for not purchasing a cradle board and not a reflection of the product. If I'd had time to drill a hole in the back to go over a hanging nail, that would have been better. But, again, that is on me.

Perfect surface for my decoupage craft project.

Served my purposes

This worked for the project I had but would not be good if you need solid wood for sanding or edge sanding, or edge exposure
