Sizing was right on
I had been eyeing this rugby for awhile and decided to pull the trigger when they were offering 10% off on prime day. Based on many of the reviews, I was concerned about the sizing. I recommend going to the Guinness site, where they have a sizing chart for their rugby's. That will give you accurate dimensions for it. I then compared those dimensions to an existing long sleeve top of mine that I knew fit great. Most reviews said to go one size up, which I generally agree with. I am 6'2" and 200 pounds with a narrower build. I normally wear a L or XL depending on the manufacturer. I went with the XL and it fits great with a plenty of room in the torso with the length of the sleeves and shirt perfect. I can see if you have big arms, are broad or are carrying a lot of extra weight, it could be a challenge. If you go up a couple of sizes for the girth, then the sleeves and torso length will be too long probably. Again, the sizing chart at Guinness was accurate and I think would be a good place to start. Compare those with something you already own and you can't go wrong. Great looking rugby and am very happy with look and quality!

Just like the one we purchased AT the Guinness Factory in Dublin!
Several years ago while in Dublin we purchased my husband a Guinness Rugby jersey. HE LOVES THAT SHIRT! It’s attractive on him. It is slightly slim fitting but not tight! We haven’t been back in a long time and I wanted to buy him another one. This one popped up and was very similar! I took the chance…. And it’s just like as if I purchased it at the Guinness factory! We love this shirt! Well made with proper construction. Will keep him warm. Slightly fitted but not tight. Color of fabric and patches are spot on! Very glad we purchased this for our upcoming trip to colder climate!

Definitely Size Up x2
Great quality! The patches hold the weight of well made hand sewn embroidery. Typically wear a US 2xl, the size chart suggests 3xl but I went with the 4xl because I wanted a looser fit especially in the torso. It’s a little too long but that’s an easy $10 fix at the tailor. Arms are perfect length and the the chest is wide but not baggy. Perfect for a winter night out, but WAY to thick for fall if you run hot like me.

My favorite rugby shirt!
SizeI'm 5' 9", 255 lbs and the 2x fits me well. I can tuck it in or wear it out. There has been no fading after close to a year. You get extra buttons, but I haven't needed them. It’s warm enough for fall and winter here in Texas, and there's enough room underneath for a t-shirt and a turtleneck for added warmth at football games or outdoor festivals.WearI grew up on Land's End Rugbys, which were the toughest shirts I've ever seen. They were the outfitter for the US national team at the time and their shirts were built for close quarters physical combat. As such they were 'overkill' for daily wear, but they lasted forever. I have a 30-year-old one in my closet right now. This isn’t THAT those shirts, but it’s not meant to be. This is heavy enough to be warm, but far softer. The Land's End were like wriggling into iron after each wash. This is supple and welcoming, like a hug from an old friend.Care and washing:Always follow the label. Any new colored garment should be washed separately on cold - or with like colors - in case it runs, but I've known that since Mom taught me to do laundry 40 years ago. :-) I experienced no discoloration of the cream trim. I don't wash it inside out, but I DO hang it dry.

Well made and beautiful
I buy the rugby shirts for my Dad for Christmas every year. They look great on him and he always gets many complements on them. He really like this jersey as it is soft and thicker than a regular shirt. Very happy with this purchase.

Gotta Pay For Quality Clothes
The only possible downside to this shirt is the price, but you have to pay if you want high quality products right? The material feels incredible, the black doesn't bleed into the cream color, and the collar feels nice. It is a heavy shirt, but worked out perfectly for damp winter evenings out. The patch on the arm looks awesome and the Guinness stitching on the chest is high quality.I suppose it runs VERY slightly small, so if you are normally in between sizes go with the larger one. I like that the sleeves are comfortable and kind of long. The chest has plenty of room and the shirt is perfect in length. This shirt is also unique so all the more reason to buy it. Get yourself one!
