Bad Paper Quality
II liked very much the scientific content but unfortunately the quality of paper and printing is not so good. The paper that used to print the book is the regular paper. Alternatively, the glossy photo paper should be used to enhance the quality of images and font.

Not in color, save your money, it is worthless.
Not in color. You need colored photographs to interference colors and pleochroism. Waste of money, wish I could return this worthless excuse for an "atlas".

Looks great, exactly what I was looking for when I searched for my textbook for class for this semester, thanks.

Not in Color
I ordered the book expecting it to be filled with color images and it was not. There is not much use for the book unless the images are in color.

Good book for broad overview
I like the book. I feel like it's a good, broad overview of different types of common sedimentary grains but there are better books out there if you are studying a specific rock type i.e. carbonates or shales. I wish this Atlas of Sedimentary Rocks went into a little more detail about clay minerals since I'm looking at shales and mudrocks. I feel like this book is definitely more helpful for looking at sandstones, but I have found it useful refreshing my memory on things like phosphate and glauconite.
