Perfect softbox for traveling. Can be easily packed in envelope used for delivery, taking up little room in my suitcase/camera backpack. Well constructed and easy to assemble on flash. worked well for macro photography lending good light without harshness.

Works very well for what it is. The Velcro band works fine for me on Canon 430 and 600 flash heads. I haven't put any Velcro on the heads, and it stays on just fine. I am typically putting this on a swing arm to get it "off camera" and triggering remotely. Again works great for what it is. If you need a huge softbox, go get a huge softbox. I read some bad reviews of the product from folks that seem to be expecting too much. Reviewing some flash basics, just remember that the diffusion of the flash is relative to the distance of the flash to your subject. Bigger surface area is helpful, but only if that bigger surface area is relatively close to your subject. If you shoot from 10 feet away with this diffuser, don't expect the light to look soft. Get within a couple feet of the subject and you will get a great result.

When I first opened the package I wasn't too impressed and thought that I hadn't done as much research as I thought I did. So I just put it aside since I wasn't eager to play with it. Until I reached for it one day thinking I'd use it on a kicker about a foot behind the couple I was photographing. I figured I could adjust the exposure in Light Room if needed. I have to tell you that when I looked down at the view screen I was shocked at what I was seeing. I brought up the histogram and it recorded just what I was seeing. The photograph was perfectly lit. Because it was taken at night and the light from the LumiQuest lll was so soft it added drama to the photo. Needless to say that now I use this softbox day or night. It's my go to softbox for whenever and whatever I shoot. It is so lite and packs well. I slide it in the inner pocket of camera bag. I can pop it on my flash in about 30 seconds and with the ultra strap I can spare my flash the strips of velcro. I love this SoftBox and look forward to seeing what else I can get from it! I recommend this to anyone who likes to take a day bag and go or even if your on the job, it's going to fill a need you just haven't discovered it yet!

I'm really liking this little softbox. It collapses nice and flat to take with me even when I'm traveling without all my gear. It affixes nice and secure to my speedlight, and gives me that nice softening effect of the light that really pretties up my images. For the price, I'm very happy.

Light and portable. It worked for a few months but then the corners crack and the folds rip off. What a pity. Not recommended. See photos of other reviewers.

The super strap is already beginning to fray and not hold as well. You need to buy a bunch. I've been using it everyday for more than a month. I would say it's not unreasonable to go through many straps in one years!The softbox is not as well built as you think. You all know how the corners usually begin to crack and eventually lead to a ripped softbox. Well guess what, it still happens despite Lumiquest's claim to have better durability. I've been using it since August and every corner is already ripping. It's only a matter of time before the rip gets larger and starts to split into the front white diffuser material-- then it's trash!Again, not so good quality. My last Lumiquest softbox went down the same exact path. I cringe to think it will need replacing within one year of use. This is unacceptable! Don't forgot to buy more straps. Here's a photo of evidence!Compared to my last Lumiquest softbox (from ten or fifteen years ago) I'm sorry to say the quality has not much improved. The corners still start to rip in less then three months!UPDATE:! This Ultra Strap is disposable. Do not take this lightly. Velcro is horrible technology. Using this strap daily for a couple months has become a nightmare. The softbox is flimsy as soon as it's installed because the Ultra Strap wears out and LumiQuest box doesn't grip to it well anymore. Anytime I rest my speedlight with softbox attached down on the table it nearly falls apart. Please do yourself a favor and buy at least two straps for each year of use you need. One has lasted me half a year, and at this point I'm extremely frustrated with this velcro Ultra Strap. I scanned the strap for you. You know I deserve Vine status...

Great unit....like other Lumiquest products. Well designed, solid and perform as promised.Put this on a flash that is off camera

It does exactly what they say and I like the fact that you can easily use it with more than one speedlight, using the UltraStrap LW-119S, but it seems a little expensive given the materials used and simple design.
